  1. Yeah the mood has to be right for those twinkly tracks. It's great to hear Autechre venturing into this kind territory and being able to make it sound like it's something they've been doing forever. I find these tracks hit the spot perfect when I'm in the mood for classical music, late nite contemplative style listening. Known(1) is special. I often skip it. But once in a blue moon it just sounds fucking perfect.
  2. st epreo sounds like a warped version of pir, there's something very touching going on here, at once very sombre and optimistic. One of Oversteps finest.

lovely stuff. According to http://www.newburycomics.com/rel/v2_viewupc.php?storenr=103&upc=66648909992 this is sampled in Autechre's Zeiss Contarex http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTcAtMX0v4A
  4. I wouldn't say Jarmusch is untalented, maybe at times a bit overrated. I couldn't get through The Limits Of Control. Making an action film without the action seemed like an amusing concept, he just failed to replace the action with anything interesting. still Dead Man Down By Law Stranger Than Paradise Also, Ghost Dog is really nice. There is a pretty good documentary called Blank City which explores the underground DIY style film making scene of the early 80s which Jarmusch was a part of.
  5. Just like BMX'in through the city at night innit. Having it all come at you on that initial listen through is really special. Maneuvering with the sound like when you first learned to ride a bike, and the ensuing rapture of zooming around the city, fear obliterated by adrenalin excitement.
  6. Oversteps definitely worked, twinkly remnants of it would be most welcome in whatever ae decide to do next.
  7. Delicious pandoro cake With chocolate biscottis and an extra strong (2 tea bagger) cup of 99 tea
  8. Set Fire To Flames - Sings Reign Rebuilder I think some of the members are from Godspeed You Black Emperor? Anyway, slightly in the same vein but this is less grandiose and somewhat more melodic/sombre. Very nice album.

  11. This week I have been mostly eatin raspberry pop tarts.
  12. ^nice track choices on Exai. I get a feeling nodezsh is extremely underrated. Nodezsh was my first instant favourite on Exai. On that first listen I got a beautifully vivid "daydream" going: Feverishly running around a far reaching maze (the one in the film Labyrinth seems very fitting) occasional bursts of hope being met with dead ends. A sky in the darkening purple shades of eternal dusk linger with grey clouds like debris sailing across.
  13. surely Home Alone has more than enough dollopings of yuletide spirit to count as a Christmas film? It certainly is in my books, and a dam good one at that!
  14. motherly love and confusion of os veix3 & st epreo sucking on the torrid teet of parhelic triangle. louveeleey.
