I got the SKIN ep on the back of the last round of hype and thought it was OK but not as mind blowing as I was led to believe it would be.

Happy to try out some new work though.

Interestingly I now love the SKIN ep so I should try blossoms again. Thanks for the bump

Sent a midnight drunk video to all my mates on WhatsApp last night. Jibbering on about Mayan human sacrifice culture while cooking various elements of pig (bacon and black pudding) and also discussing The Unholy Tree Badger which was stalking me in the back garden. Pretty sure me let loose on Facebook would of been a really bad idea. Especially when I was on my DRUG PHASE. That stuff never goes away.

    Plz reshare

  3. Just watched this, finally.

Sound was great because I was in an old converted barn and not an IMAX, volume was fine. A few lines were mumbled but generally everything very clear. Space bagpipes was weird bit every other part of the soundtrack seemed to fit (especially when Paul uses his voice, so cool).

Pacing overall was excellent, it didn't feel like it overstayed it's welcome. Maybe ever so slightly in the last 20 mins but that was mainly my back giving me grief in the seat. Shield tech looked awesome.  A few nice moments of comedy with Duncan.

Saw other comments here about the dark brooding nature of the film and the long stares into space ... Well, spot on.  It's basically genocide in space so I don't see how you can spin that in a nice way. Obviously part 2 is set up nicely for the rise of Muadib and I'm very glad it was green lit.

  4. A: So, hi. What's your favourite autechre track?

B: it's got to be 90101-51-4 from the 2008 digital only Japanese exclusive Quaristice EP.  Or maybe acdwn4 from 2016's elseq 4, which was also digital only lol but more widely available through their own webstore and others.

A: Wow that's a mouthful.  Why do they make the track titles so inaccessible?

B: So that niche online communities can discuss the meanings and intricacies in depth, but mates down the pub will gloss over the details and either say "yea" or "na"

    A: ok, thanks.

Are you running these off at home, or like at FedEx Office?

I use an online copyshop place. I used to print them myself but when I started doing runs of above 30 it's not economical. I got 90 copies of this issue. Plus they fold and staple for me, and with a fixed price quote in advance it's a no-brainer really.

  6. I'm going to watch this next week in a 14th century barn that has been lushly converted into a 60 seater cinema.  Like, it wont be IMAX or Void Soundsystem or anything, but it will be lush,

    B) Does the headline mean Drift 2 is in the making? I fucking hope so!

Don't think so - it's had the Ltd Drop treatment today. Out on vinyl. Hoodies, slip mats etc

I love all the tunes they've done this to, but not purchased any.  £20 for a single is a bit of a push given they used to be £2.99 in hmv back in the day. Even with inflation.....
