  1. what a day great justice for IDMsters everywhere! put on your idm shoes and dance! (intelligently!)
  2. it would be pretty hilarious to compare this to the real thing i believe that someone was me idm cred where its due fellas (i desperately need it)
  3. someone mentioned pbthal, and his rips are pretty amazing, and he prob would do it, but i could see a definite fear of sending this record to anyone, let alone someone outside 'the community'. tbh i think as long as it sounds 'pretty good', that's great. and i think as long as the person doing it takes some care, and has decent equipment, its going to sound pretty good.
  4. I take it that 'professionally' means the following: High quality equipment (i.e not half-busted Stanton 500 / Concorde through a Numark mixer into a Dell laptop) Absolutely no declicking, dehissing, EQing, compressing, remastering or processing of ANY kind I'm surprised no-one else has chimed in about this. xy_politics is completely and absolutely right on this. Any rip that's done shouldn't be messed about with at all (not even normalisation). Just a good, hot signal. i said something about it in one of the previous threads, i think others did too, but more importantly hasn't joyrex himself said there would be no altering? but yeah thats how it should be done
  5. wats to get? fps are still prob by far the biggest selling games of the day its no big mystery or conspiracy necessary to explain this ,which doesn't mean that there isn't an insidious conspiracy attached to it prob is
  6. ya know whats depressing? depression
  7. check out the tagline i just came up with for this thing- Oculus Rift... if u die in the game, u die irl should i go post that on reddit or somewhere where they might see it and hire me on as part of the team?
  8. how do you eat that without getting mess all over your face
  9. [youtubehd]exTMCq0cnLs[/youtubehd] found out about this guy years back at a website called incorrect music. a bit of a cult following sorta, has developed around his stuff since then. i think the basic story was that back in the 80s he went around in NY giving shops copy of his cassette tape, which he did all by himself. people have tried to track him down to learn more about him (to kinda creepy lengths). someone checked library of congress and saw that he did register other stuff. i think i saw somewhere that someone found a number and called him and he wasn't happy about it and didn't want to talk. i think people latched onto it because of how the dude obviously didn't know QUITE what he was doing but also has obvious intent and focus on it. plus theres a super haunting quality to the tracks, like a weird sort of creepy undertone to it imo. this one was always my fav. [youtubehd]cKTioEi4Iug[/youtubehd] the whole cassette is weird and all 10 tracks are on youtube but for some reason i dont see a playlist with the 10 in order. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Y._Bhekhirst
  10. oh boy she (bjork) needs shut up once in a while and let some of the track get through. still find that growl she does highly sexy though.. anyway, cheers to recentwave!
  11. i like the last one best but theyre all good youre getting some nice juicy sounds out of the evolver
  12. lol those are awesome tri imagine if someone brought back captain planet but in this darker, grittier style like batman year one, and made a graphic novel/comic out of that
  13. ur stuff/style is pretty creative spiral i dont know how you think up stuff like that
  14. I'm locked inside the Fratellis' basement with this... guy.

  15. on the topic of mother/earthbound in general, i've always seen people mention it as a great thing, so i decided to play the 1st one, and couldnt due to the super insano high levels of grinding required. i didn't like the idea of skipping ahead in series. but maybe one day i'll do the snes one (or were there 2 on snes). i always thought itd be cool of nintendo to make faithful adaptations of some of their earlier franchises that got left behind, but wasnt there some kid icarus vid (thought JR posted it) of a new upcoming game, and which to me looked like a knife in the heart of my childhood (fuckin terrible)? i cant find that now. uprising on ds looks ok, but christ, if your voice overs and music are going to sound like it was done by the same people who did sonic 2006, just leave the game silent. imo revamping some of these old franchises, is what wii u needs. at least the new mario looks ok.
  16. well yeah i get that the point wasnt that it was the best thing ever graphics wise, but jr did specifically say 'maybe it could be done on watever nintendo makes after wii u' then that maybe this could be done on ps4/xb1. to which i replied wii u should be able to come close, imo.
  17. im not saying the pic isn't cool, it is, even though i never played mother much (beyond a little of the 1st one on NES), but to me the image quality doesn't look THAT much beyond what ps3 could do. maybe just a little more clear. anyway, i thought wii u was at about ps3/xb360 level graphics wise. seems like it should be able to come close-ish to that. but uh, i think it might be a bit hasty to assume that there will be a successor to the wii u, since there is still a fair amount of people out there who don't even know there is a such thing as a wii u. there were rumors that the original wii would be their last console, for some reason. it was actually successful.
  18. i had a friend quite a while back who was a lush
  19. yeah i felt like aenima was next level undertow was a bit more similar to other heavy metal acts of the day in it's time, it still had it's own identity, but aenima just really set them apart. nothing else sounded like that

    Bitcoin

well like i said im not a financial wiz, but if you just go by the age old adage 'buy low sell high', and consider that its pretty much the only thing that everyone who invests in anything 'knows', i would say it would be a common sense assumption that when something SKYROCKETS like this (its not even a little jump or spike, it's a huge one), it's safe to assume that more people are looking to sell rather than buy. like what idiot is sitting there saying 'holy shit bitcoin just shot through the roof! time to buy now!' and goes and drains their life savings to dump into the thing? also i think it's entirely misleading to call the selling instant. if the selling were instant i would have been in it months ago, because it'd mean the buying was instant, and in general it's anything but. as far as i know the exchanges don't allow you to cash in and out of bitcoin. and it's hard to buy in with paypal or credit cards or anything that has something like a chargeback, by design. so that means people have to find a way in, and they usually involve several steps. so buying is far from 'instant' in most cases, unless like i said you find someone willing to take the risk to sell to you through paypal (which then makes them vulnerable to chargebacks and is why they charge a hefty fee). OR willing to meet you in person which again which isn't instant considering the time it takes to meet and find a person online willing to buy before the meet. you have to post in some forum advertising what you have and wait. how is any of this "instant"? there might be demand but where is that coming from right at this moment? average people or corporate types looking for hedge funds (who prob arent interested in meeting you at starbucks for a couple hundred worth in BC when they are dealing in thousands+), etc?
  21. for me it's chiastic, then everything else as a close second, except tri repetae which is last and maybe incunabula being a bit better than tri but even those are good
