wait so someone thought that track was aphex from one of his live sets but it wasnt right? it was by some guy named the tuss? correct me please
why am i the only one to respond in this very mysterious thread from a person with one post
because you're interested in a generic acid release that may or may not be from RDJ.
im interested because for at least a year the first track was presented as aphex and well liked on this very forum.
Not sure if that was the name for the guy asking about the tracks, but I know the thread you mean - it needs to be dug up, I would have searched it but I hate the search functions on forums.
Most probably... anyone heard the artist name before?
cornish for erection
made by gary
according to warpmart
see other threads
We don't know either, but it looks and sounds like an Analord. Rumours abound that it's two French guys, and then the press release says it's some guy called Gary, but it couldn't sound anymore like an Aphex release if he shouted 'My name is Richard and I wrote this' over the top. Tuss is Cornish language for an erection fyi.
this Toughened Fornicator EP doesn't really sound that exciting to me, afx or not (it does have those panting-sample fuckery bits like in taking control tho)
synths in the 3rd sample are decent
Yeah 02 has the same samples from taking control in it that's true... also some of the synth sounds similar - not sure though.
EDIT: Actually... track 3 sounds dangerously like Aphex
End of track 1 is off something like that yeah, that loop.. I have a crappy rip of it somewhere.
the acid line on the first sample is definately from an RDJ song or dj set, i cant pin it tho.
overall this doesnt sound like rdj as much as rdj + luke vibert.
The end of track one is aphex
Track 3 bassline = bwoon dub synth?
It's Dickie alright, I can hear a specific analogue klobber on the second track.
lol, so another god damn'ed seudonym? -.-
i didnt think he would do more acid.
"Confederation Trough" contains a lot of interesting matches... it's got "Richard", "Tune" and "Tone" in at the same time with some leftovers... could be a coincidence though.
It's not what I was hoping for, but it is somewhat enjoyable -.-
I love the sound of it, especially track 3 at the moment.
so is it just me or is this guy who made this thread doing some obvious guerilla marketing for rephlex?
the tuss is also short for tussin
i dont really like this, nor do i care if its actually made by someone named richard d james
I like the wobbly synth in track 3... the photo on the jewel case looks like it could be one of Richard's photographs...
