Autechre Eggshell

As we all know, there are two versions of Autechre's "Eggshell"

The one of off a compilation album called "Artificial Intelligence"

And the one witch is on Autechre's debut album "Incunabula"

 

Witch version do you think is better?

I personaly like the one off of "Artificial Intelligence" the best.

Plus (I could be wrong) But I Believe that "Artificial Intelligence"

was released before "Incunabula".

 

If this is so? Would that make the "Artificial Intelligence" Eggshell the Original?

The original was called "egg", not "eggshell". This is one of my least fav ae tracks, but I like Eggshell better than Egg. But yea, egg was before Eggshell I believe.

But they still are the same song though...Kinda.

Eggshell is like 408 times better. That was one of the first AE tracks to really hook me.

I agree with the folks who said Eggshell is better. Incunabula was my first AE album but has ended up being my least favourite, for obvious reasons, but I do like it in certain times and places, and Eggshell is one of the reasons for this.

 

How many electronic artists have made songs called "eggshell" anyway?!

yeah 1 kinda agree, eggshell have that ae-ish hook polished from previous version. also sounding timeless-like and about time.

Eggshell by far. The intro is one of the best early-ae moments, and that's missing from the original.
