hmm? i havent heard much good stuff recently, only new stuff i can recall was the lory ds..

i even bought some crappy bassline stuff because it was new and had a pounding 4/4 and some music in it.  was a one hit wonder tho.  been hunting through the minimal stuff and havent found that much to shout about...

cant think off the top of my head if i liked anything else about.

this is the same list that always gets posted. not that there's anything wrong with them or suggesting them, it's just they're all a bit boring if you know what I mean....

i feel you lala - we want something new and fresh! well, maybe i'm being presumptuous -I want something new and fresh anyway.

The state that Techno is in currently is something I cry about nightly.

There's some good releases to be found but they're mostly by the usual suspects. (Paul Kalkbrenner to name one)

The stream of horrible shit crap boring soulless ''minimal'' releases that's been coming out the past 2 years is incredible.

I love minimal house/techno but man there's a lot of crap out there and everybody seems to be playing it!

I checked out the recent fabric mix by robert hood (which was recommended in the new releases subforum), pretty good shit

Also while it's not new, lately I've been loving scion arrange and process basic channel tracks

yeah, perfect if you want to go to sleep

edit: i don't need to check out the whole release as all the other tracks will sound exactly the same as the track already posted. lots of echo and "space" and deep sounds and.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......

Modern Love are releasing some good material... for example :

MOVE D

Warp released a new 12'' last month I believe, really layered, evolving techno vibes...

still bloody sounds the same as every other techno track around at the moment (in my grumpy old bloke opinion)...

people need to check out some early to mid nineties reload, harthouse, rising high etc tunes for a lesson in proper techno innit.

In that case... I think i've said this before (perhaps!) but this 12'' from last year was wicked... no minimal/dub, just straight out Acid and deep detroity flows!

2 AM/FM

2 AM/FM

Check the other stuff on spectral too!

Also this is wicked, maybe too minimal for the purists out there!

EQUALIZED

oh i see.. you're an old techno fart. that explains it.

no appreciation for us youngins and our delay plugins.

everyone's boat floats differently i guess. ;) i love the dubbed out sound, it satisfies the simple repetition i love about ambient music but with a groovin' beat and bassline.

that AM/FM stuff is good

i agree! good synths, groovy beats!

i had high hopes for the dissident label after hollow demon, but they just put out crap and im bored of it. like i said im even looking at bassline stuff for someone to come up with something good, and hanging around at house head clubs to get some inspiration from somewhere.. brighton techno scene needs a good kick up the bum.

yes i know, i should do it myself.

edit* ^^ lol. i was actually looking for BCM myspace. IM BEING SERIOUS GUYS WHERE ARE THE TUNES.
