This is the 'raw' video from the Channel 9 camera shortly after a shooting involving a couple of people in Sydney's dingy Kings Cross area. I walked past where the shooting was 4 or 5 times a day. It didnt strike me as a rough area at all - worst thing I saw was the odd group of surly looking poor little rich kids shuffling around. My rich arse Aunt and Uncle live just around the corner in their massive serviced apartment. Coming from politically correct socialist New Zealand, I do find the amount of casual racism in mainstream Australian culture pretty shocking. From the complete absence of Aborigine people in the media to the way white Australians casually chuck around words like "wog".
