Young Ones vs Bottom

I used to watch the Young ones when I was about 9. It was so cool when I was 9.

I saw an episode of the young ones just the other day (the one called 'sick') and it was pretty amazing actually, lots of cartoon violence and surreal plot turns

I don't find Filthy, Rich and Catflap very funny at all. I definitely put the Young Ones above it, and then Bottom ahead of that.

But maybe I'm swayed because I was able to watch Bottom on TV, and wasn't alive when FRC and TYO had their peaks.

recently watched the first series of young ones and its still as silly and funny as it was when we hammerd my uncles VHS's in his top loader back in the mid 80's when i was 10.

Filthy Rich and Catflap was good for the first three-four episodes but a lot of the in jokes remain in the 80's

Bottom is pure Rich n Eddie although i thought it ran for a bit too long and some of it got a bit repetative however it still had its classic moments

Out of the three i think it would have to be the young ones for still being off the wall and the way it reminds me of some of the shit holes and characters i've lived with in the past.

Young Ones, it is amazing. The episode 'Sick' starts with them all being ill and mutants into a homicidal maniac visiting, a riot in the street, a visit from their parents then Rik kills Neil before it is all revealed to be some bollocks that happened on some corny gameshow. Genius.
