Holographic drumkit and turntables

pretty fucking awesome. my first guess was a panel of glass on which the images were projected, but it seems to have so much depth. most "holograms" of the day are multiple panes of glass, but who knows -- cool nonetheless!

 

edit: though the music they played was kinda lamessss

i don't quite buy it. something isn't right.

 

actually, after watching the other video, it's the same thing. but they went for a fake hologram look and tried to pass it off as a real live performance. but why?

it does look too good to be real in a way, i got tricked!

it seems to a trend in these visual experimental conceptual music videos to 'fake' the actual performance aspect. IE: the music made from a tree and from car video, they were trying to impress upon the viewer that everything was being done in real-time but it clearly wasn't
