The scores for:

 

October Sky - a little repetitive

 

Platoon - mostly just Samuel Barber's Adagio

 

Up - gonna learn to play "The Ellie Badge" on the piano even if it's sappy.

 

are all really good.

Just listened to Rabbits Theme from Inland Empire. Was excellent.

 

edit: One more reason to see Moon which has always intrigued me.

good call. both greenwoods scores are great but twbb was really something special imo. the second that movie opened with that long building shrill, i was hooked.

Wendy Carlos is amazing. Check out her Sonic Seasonings album if you haven't already, and of course her contributions to The Shining's OST are amazing

I'm a big Wendy fan , i have The Well-Tempered Synthesizer on Vinyl (The only Vinyl i actually own.)

 

And yes , Sonic Seasonings is amazing.

im watching the first terminator right now and im finding the score pretty impressive

 

also i was watching an early michael mann film last night called 'the keep' and it has a pretty solid tangerine dream score
