I went to Asda this morning when I was hanging out my arse to buy stuff for a fry up* and I think I was still a little bit tipsy, and I went to buy some scotch in case it came to the evening and the shops were shut and I wanted to drink again, but I found this stuff which basically tastes like sweet wine with some whisky in it. I'm not sure whether it's terrible or fantastic but I feel like the world is a better place for it's existence. It describes itself as "a blend of Mature British Wine and Fine Malt Whisky". I tasted a sherry cask finish scotch at the Copenhagen whisky festival 2 weeks ago, it had quite a subtle sweet aftertaste which came through after the scotch. I want more of that sort of drink. It is sold in one litre bottles from discount supermarket stores such as Netto and Lidl across the United Kingdom. Scotsmac has a strength of 15% and retails for approximately £3.50 a bottle. You'd be better off with a cheap bottle of port. also, i tried a bourbon once mixed with port (around 38% alcohol), and it was one of the most hideous drinks ever created.
