stupid gf!

keltoi

Recommended Posts

she just called to tell me she's dropped my car keys down a drain with the car left unlocked. i'm at work, an hour and a half away. i tried to explain how to lock it without the keys but she can't seem to do it and i can't ask her to lock from inside and crawl through and out of the boot. i knew this would happen, it was only a matter of time... took her 3 weeks to do the inevitable. thank fuck she can't even drive, my car wouldn't last 5 minutes.

i have the other set with me so hopefully noone steals my car or stuff before i get back tonight.

too late.

she's not actually stupid, just prone to doing stupid things. more so lately.

last week i came home and was almost floored by the smell of gas, every light in the flat was on, and she's having a fucking nap!

If she cant drive what was she doing in your car, and why didnt you take it to work?

What the hell is going on?!

she can't drive. i got a company car last year but can't use it at weekends so i kept my own. i leave it parked at home so she can use the boot so doesn't have to carry pram, baby etc up to 3rd floor every time she goes out. i knew this would happen sooner or later.

ok. dare i ask how she is doing with babby?

she's doing great. no problem. but the sleep deprivation may be taking its toll.

thats what ive heard. its getting closer and closer for me.

it'll be fine i'm sure. i'll fish the keys out somehow when i get back. and remember to park away from drains.

How is Mrs Keltoi?Apart from the sleep deprivation obviously,is she breast feeding?Hows that going?

Did she have stitches at all?Is she in any discomfort from the birth still?

My Mom called it the 'baby blues'-that period after giving birth when everything has to adjust and get back to normal, everythings different, physically, mentally, the household, brain chemicals,sex-life,hormones-all this and a demanding, whining parcel of love too? Then of course theres baby....

Seriously though man,is she ok?

she's been amazing. had a few days of baby blues after getting home from hospital, house-bound after the C section. she's really taken to the breast feeding, which means i can't really do anything to give her a break when babby wants fed day or night. she's been a bit short/snappy with me but that's understandable what with it being even easier for me to say or do the wrong thing.

overall she's handling it like a champ... she's a natural, amazing mother. (apart from nearly blowing up the street and chucking my car keys down a drain).

cheers!

this was my suggestion but apparently not. i'll need to double check if it works when i get back...

in some cars you can't do this so stupid people don't lock their keys inside. :cisfor:

it took two pages for someone to say that

that's what i suggested to her from the OP...

i tried to explain how to lock it without the keys but she can't seem to do it

he explained that he had explained that to her, but she didn't get it. Which we are then given to understand has to do with braindrain + hormonal overload leading to emotional breakdown/freakout over simple things. like accidentally dropping the keys down a drain hole.

edit, well my point is now late .. bummer.

there's a small chance it's just not possible with my car. i've never tried locking it like that.
