Getting things in the mail. Finding out someone thought better of you than you thought. Making cranky people smile. Old men who blush when you smile at them. Boys who wink to convey a joke. Subtle humor.

playing with cutoff and resonance knobs of an acid synth and feeling the sound so basically that your mouth starts to move as if it actually produced the sound.

self checkout things

 

i was kind of against them when i first (actually very recently) encountered them but they've grown on me. basically using them makes me feel like i'm in a sci-fi. the present is futuristic

Humor in music. It occurs so seldomly, but when it's done well it's the best, adds a whole other dimension to the experience.

enthusiasm in a voice

that reminds me, i was watching masterchef and enjoying this bloke who uses phrases that express enthusiasm but his voice isn't expressive at all. so he said "I'm over the moon." slowly, in monotone with a faint smile.
