One of the best convention speeches I have heard in terms of substance... something about him not using a telepromter tells me he went off script and gave one of the most anti-establishment/two party speech I heard at a Coca Cola Convention

If you read the transcript especially he never endorses Romney and even calls everyone to notice how these politicians will smile and say anything to get your votes.

Eastwood may be old, but he's still pretty sharp - don't think for a second he doesn't know what he did up there, and why he did it. Him going over his time allotment and saying all those weird "senior moment" type things was just an example of what a great actor he is.

clint eastwood is still a hero. he actaully said some very important things that needed to be said -

"I would just like to say something, ladies and gentlemen. Something that I think is very important. It is that, you, we-- we own this country. We -- we own it. It is not you owning it, and not politicians owning it. Politicians are employees of ours. And -- so -- they are just going to come around and beg for votes every few years. It is the same old deal. But I just think it is important that you realize , that you're the best in the world. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican or whether you're libertarian or whatever, you are the best. And we should not ever forget that. And when somebody does not do the job, wegot to let them go."

Yeah, I don't care what he has to say in that venue. When the punchline to all his so-called good points is "Vote for Romney!"... Eastwood looks (because he is) like a fucking retarded old shit bag.

I liked when he was making the point about Afghanistan being a useless war but thinking he was talking trash about Obama. being senile seems better than pills.

I just wish they played a clip from gran Torino and then cut to the republican party cheering racial slurs like fish head

i do wish he had said this -

there are no politicians or political systems in any country in the world that are going to save us, we must join together to save ourselves from them. putting faith in systems that have failed time and time again, that have existed only as hiding places for these corrupt and power sick men and women, will only lead us further down into our deep dark end. a peaceful revolution built on the strength of numbers and unified support for an economy based on truth and morality is our only hope.
