really cool track. very chilled out. my criticism is that I don't really like the sound of the bass, it kinda sounds really thin on my headphones. However i quite enjoyed the chord progressions synths melodies etc. Great production!

thanks for lisnin. that's really weird man, you probably have $200 headphones or something, I don't know. The bass sounds too beefy on every set of speaker's i've listened on. i worked on it with headphones. it does taper out during the second section because i am just tuning the clips of bass down in ableton.

There are very interesting things that happen in the 2/3 part of the track where the beat seems to back down, hesitate and break up a little. But I couldn't get behind the chord progression in the first part, 1/4 of the chords seemed too random and aimless and bogged down the rest of the progression, though the other 3/4 was very solid and sounded great.

Maybe the problem i'm hearing on the bass is some high frequencies that are in it? On second listen it seems a bit grainy. Like there are frequencies that are diluting the overall sound. Maybe try an LPF?

man you know you do have a point, it's not quite as punchy as i would like it to be on my headphones right now. the high end grain is purposeful, but the way the mix was, i couldn't quite get the bass powerful enough without peaking, so the grain might be too prevalent.

The bass sounds fine. Perfect actually. Especially the bass at the 1:32 mark.

I'm not a big fan of the sound of the chord. It sounds a bit too soft-synth-like. Try distorting it ever so slightly, add some reverb to that, and add a low pass filter to it - and maybe add another reverb after that on a bus/aux channel :)
