Also, re: Edith Keeler - I don't think it bothers me that it *could* be a guy posing as a girl. Rather, once I found out what the name was a reference to, it just genuinely feels like someone who wishes to be anonymous to me. I thought it was quite creative! And yes, that record is a killer! In the Star Trek episode in question, Edith gets hit by a car in the 1960s, and Kirk has to allow it to happen in order to not change the future. Depressing stuff!
