Alfons recorded the combined 16 tracks during a variety of sessions, some in Los Angeles, some in a rural, isolated Ontario farmhouse, where he was inspired by "the living plant world around me." Now you have me intrigued - his odd singing voice is part of the attraction for me as I have never really heard someone sing like that. I'll have to check David Gray out!
