My Project: Hexagon Heaven

First of all, hello everybody. Yes, I´m a newbie around here, but I´ve been stalking this website and forum for a while, but only had time now to join. Hope you like these experimentations I do for almost an year now: www.myspace.com/hexagonheaven I´ve taken inspiration from the obvious artists and I tried to put some Jazz structure to some songs as well, that will be featured in my debut about to be released in October. That song Stay With Me is a remix of Clint Mansell´s The Fountain Soundtrack (awesome movie by the way). So tell me your thoughts about them. And please state what you didn´t enjoyed, I´m always looking forward to improve and I take serious…

The Chimney Sweeper

This was the first thing I ever recorded. I made it for a highschool poetry project on William Blake when I was seventeen. I had absolutley no experience with recording/production at the time. I still have no idea how I got through it. Each layer was recorded separately on a minidisc recorder : the keyboard, guitar, piano, child's voice. I had to record each track on my friend's apple computer so i could use soundsculptor. After each track was transported onto disk, I used soundsculptor -- I had to edit to the max by trial and error to get the timing right. Yeah, so I guess I'm a liar.... I guess I do remember how I got through it, but I also remember that it was hell - m…

my brother made these tracks and considered putting them on itunes (which he has done in the past with lackluster results), but changed his mind and decided to offer them for free.. http://jwade.holdingcell.net/underdog/ i made this page for him, but the tracks are all his.. the music itself isn't really what you'd call electronic music (i don't think), but there are at least electronic music elements throughout. would you guys mind listening and giving an opinion? i think they're worth listening to, but not quite worth selling.. thank you.

retrofit (9:22, 13504512 bytes) this is the new version of round for luck, if anyone remembers it. it's almost done, i'm pretty happy with all of the sounds - but i think it might need some more swirly sounds in the last section, hehe. or maybe i'll just leave it like it is. everything on this was played live, dirado played the piano but i played everything else. the drums were a bitch to record! this is possibly the best piece i've ever recorded, and definitely the most dynamic. so everyone please download, listen with headphones and tell me what you think!

guitar demos
by Guest Dactyl- 1 reply
if anyone is interested in some guitar demos i made, check out my myspace at http://www.myspace.com/ramisaddler. the tracks are all pretty simple, but i would like to record them again...........maybe add some synths here and there, more intricate drum sequences, etc. any feedback, suggestions, comments would be nice. i really want to somehow fuse guitar rock with good electronics. anyway, sorry, but myspace never does justice to the actual sound quality of the tracks. they're actually pretty well produced........well, for demo recordings, that is. anyway, when you have the time............... http://www.myspace.com/ramisaddler

Old tune remixed
by Guest The Bro- 4 replies
So I'm playing this gig in Norwich and been asked for a track for their free cd give away thing. Finding the time to give something I think is good enough is usually tough though. Anyways I decided to update an old tune of mine as the original version is lacking definition due to the recording and sound card etc. Also I felt like adding some new beats. Anyways views and suggestions appreciated as always. The Bro - Justin Time (first time in Norwich mix)

Plus/Minus demo
by Guest Dactyl- 9 replies

Here are the tracks of my latest demo recording. It is my most intimate recording. Ever. So that means it's sort of lo-fi. Listen to it if you still have human blood residing within you and can take a break from hi-fi robot music. Instruments used : Four track recorder, electric guitar, acoustic piano, old school casio keyboard, line 6 delay pedal, bandeon, violin and bow. The timing was all in my head. You have no idea what I went through to record this. Enjoy my dissonance and time locks without percussion if you can. Comments, critiques, impressions, questions are all welcome and encouraged. I am at your feet fellow music makers. And don't try too hard to fi…
