  1. I actually thought the NES version improved on the arcade version!
  2. Those are some sad af looking borgars. I'm surprised nobody's commented on the FUCKING MAC & CHEESE on it...
  3. Holy shit can you imagine coming into what you would expect to be an empty space station and seeing those things?
  4. Hang on there - As far as I am aware, we have not been asked to delete any thread, and certainly not for the reasons indicated. If the person has an EKT or EKT Plus subscription, they can delete their own posts/threads, so don't go making accusations about cover ups, etc. If anyone can get me more detail/context on this I can look into it and see what is reality vs. assumption.
  5. I said it could be looked at as one - IF the streaming providers (and the license holders) approached it that way. You're absolutely right - a streaming service could lose the right to use an artist or label works, and it's no longer available. Piracy though takes control away from the labels (and more importantly the artists who actually make the music) and removes their incentive to keep music in print, available on streaming, etc. It also can result in sub-par versions of legitimate music being propagated, which further dilutes the preservation effort. Also, has SLSK gotten that big? I always thought of it as a very niche, very specific outlet. I haven't been on it in probably 10+ years, so I had no idea it was even still a thing.
  6. This is an excellent point that I bet a lot of people haven't thought about. I wonder though if the rise of streaming services has mitigated that somewhat? After all, instead of impermanence, streaming services could also be looked at as a preservation resource, keeping long out of print physical releases alive by having their digital counterparts still available years, even decades after the release, label, and potentially the artist themselves are no longer around.
  7. Just finished this myself - I was very skeptical about there being a 3rd season at all but I have to say it was pretty well done. The only other season of a show that started as slow was Twin Peaks S03, but holy shit was that worth it. I think the plan is to conclude it in series 4, since the kids will pretty much be adults by the time it airs.
  8. They're essentially the emoji you get on your phone, but yes, nice.
  9. In actual Societas x Tape news: The BOC sleuths at BOC Pages have been at it and have filled in a few more mystery gaps in the playlist: https://bocpages.org/wiki/Societas_x_Tape
  10. If there is a better visual to represent the WATMM is Dying thread, I dare someone to find it over this
  11. So some sort of mini textbox to type what your reaction is? Why not just quote the post then? Reactions are meant as quick simple visual indicators that your fellow board members reacted to something; nothing more.
  12. Watch some speedruns of the game, and the different game modes makes it highly replayable (even more so than Tetris naturally is)
  13. Unfortunately there is no such mode anymore - the software has done away with BBCode (although you can still type it like spoiler tags) and thus a "source" view. Sorry!
  14. That Shibuya Meltdown one is pure gold Also (as you might imagine coming from me): https://twitter.com/dadsaysjokes
