  1. Really looking forward to this, Monochromes Vol.1 is excellent. https://lineimprint.bandcamp.com/album/monochromes-vol-2
  2. Damn, that sounds rough. All the best for coming coming off venlafaxine. I took myself off it last year after being on them for a few years. Even putting what felt like a solid plan of withdrawal together, it made for a weird few months. Those brain zaps man. To me it felt like my consciousness was switched off and on rapidly. Hope you feel better soon.
  3. Really liking this track. Vocal sample at 02:07 sounds like Jonnine Standish, Rentboy (Live)
  4. I can hear that. I keep hearing family resemblance throughout the sets - I always think of Left Blank around the 16:10 mark of Helsinki - whether it's just reminiscent of earlier work, or actual links - NTS sessions - I don't think I've been this engaged with the live sets as I am now; not that I've not enjoyed the previous outings. Having been to the 2 Barbican sets helps, I have the context, something I was missing with AE_Live 2016/2018. I had to take a break from 2022 after the initial frenzy, I've really enjoyed re-listening to NTS and 2016/2018 the last few of days. Both have really clicked now. Back on 2022 sets today, revisiting Helsinki at the moment. Will pick up Bergen again later this afternoon. Can't wait to get the chance to hear them live again. Tempted to see if I can get over to Dublin in October.
  5. Hell yeah. The last 2 soundtracks on Noton have been great.
  6. This dropped on the 4th of August, vinyl and digital. Excellent.
  7. Bush... but this cover is great. Fantastic cover. It was played at the Barbican gig back in April. Devo One of the first records I bought when I started exploring and getting obsessed with music. I always thought Gerald Casale looked like John Ritter, so they got bonus points. Kinda like how Fred Schneider from the B-52's reminds me of Kenneth Williams.
  8. Cape/Southern Penduline Tit (Anthoscopus minutus) They build elaborate nests, suspending them from branches using spiderweb, animal hair... the nests incorporate a false entrance to confuse predators. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthoscopus#:~:text=The true nesting chamber is,protect the eggs and nestlings.
  9. Lovely. Both See-Through and I'll Look For You In Others are great albums (IMO) 2 of the highlights from 2022.

  11. New album dropping on Raster on 29/09/23. I enjoyed Dasha Rush's first showing, Sleepstep, on Raster-Noton back in 2015. It was quite different from her debut album Forms Ain't Formats, which was a nice slice of techno.
  12. I could get into this. Fear of Men sound good too, will have a proper listen.
