  1. I would *so* kill my neighbor if he did that. Pretentious wanker.
  2. If this is the one @thawkinswas talking about then yes Is the Pong game doing anything in this video? Because it doesn’t look like it to me ...
  3. Capitalized words were on sale today, I see.
  4. Hyperbole, of course ;-). There is no way any politician is going to be able to do the right thing here, not only because there simply isn't one, but also because politics isn't about doing the right thing in the first place. It's about wielding influence. Trump, whatever you think about him, has proven to be pretty good at it. So has Mark Rutte, the Dutch PM. Where Trump bullies, however, Rutte weasels and compromises and while that has kept him in power for ten years now that does not make him capable of dealing with a crisis such as this one. And it shows: every policy and utterance from the government has the stink of consensus and finding a middle ground of some sort. Which is the last thing you need when you're dealing with a pandemic. Different problem, same outcome.
  5. I do hope @Joyrexhas rented some extra server capacity. WATMM is going to get a little workout, I suspect.
  6. Not sure holding elections now is such a great idea what with all those people that have to stand in line to vote ?
  7. I’d say the Dutch prime minister is isn’t great at it either. “We want to keep schools open because closing them would make it impossible for parents to keep the economy running^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H performing their important life saving jobs in the health sector”. And then some sort of lame excuse that children aren’t affected by the virus ... which only makes them *more* dangerous as they can spread it without it being obvious. Luckily the governing body for the tertiary education sector can make its own decisions so all universities are now closed and I finally have the opportunity to rewire my “studio”.
  8. Extraordinary claims ... Thanks. And: ugh.
  9. Is it just me or does a tracker without a keyboard seem a bit pointless?
  10. No, fascism is very sloppy. It just screams so loudly it draws attention away from that fact. Trains did not run on time in Italy under Mussolini any more than they do now. Only difference is back then you were not allowed to complain about it.
  11. Wow ... But I have to ask: should you be doxxing yourself like this? The people I know IRL who work with the interned and the disturbed are very careful about guarding their personal information. Or do the people where you work not have internet connections?
  12. The prompt was “cozily knitting warriors of the steppes” ...
  13. Just started season 4 of Gomorrah. Rather on the nose, even by Gomorrah standards. However, in ep. 2 someone gets sent a chopped off hand in a box, so there’s that. Season 3 didn’t start off too great either but ended up quite ok, so I’m still optimistic.
  14. Mr Mackey! j/k you’re doing God’s work. And it’s a dirty job to boot. Occasionally rewarding, I’d imagine.
  15. Zombies of capitalism ... I like that.
  16. Truffle: rich people food Pizza: poor people food
  17. I find that napkin disturbing.
  18. Maybe I should listen to it a bit more ... but once the novelty of hearing an angry album in the Ripati style wore off it felt like that was all there was. Maybe I’m just spoiled. As if it’s the most ordinary thing in the world that an angry Ripati album exists in the first place.
  19. Three weeks ago I made a grown man cry (well, tear up a little). He was very disappointed, but ultimately the reason why was his own doing. I do deal mostly with nominally adult males, by the way.
  20. Nah, that was Plaid: https://www.elektron.se/grammofon/egr45-00001-plaid/
  21. Just came across this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pizza_effect American “pizza” still ? though
  22. I like my job. Right now, for example, I’m about to make someone feel very relieved.
  23. The more I listen to it the more it strikes me as too much on the nose. Repeated deep listening is not really rewarded. It’s about as subtle and multi-layered as, say, modern day “industrial techno” only not as danceable.
