  1. Outer Worlds and Outer Wilds... it's already super confusing ;)
  2. Well, that's one way of not supporting anyone. Sounds fair to me.
  3. You could also check out Dynaudio Lyd 48. They're absolutely wonderful as well, and a tiny bit cheaper than the BM15A ?
  4. Geez. I'm not trolling. Companies need exclusives to gain traction and to get people to buy their consoles or use their marketplace. Do you think Sony would sell any consoles if they didn't have exclusive titles which they get by either buying developers or making deals with developers? I don't think the PC market was ever intended as an "open platform". Who's ever said that? Valve has been sitting comfortably on the PC market for a bunch of years now, and then Epic announces some competition. This is what happens in any industry. The Tencent part of it is the only thing that scares me, and if that's one of the reasons why you've decided to boycott then wonderful. You don't have to talk to me like I'm some sort of idiot.
  5. OH MY FUCKING GOD! Dealing with Adobe is the worst... it took them over a WEEK to approve my subscription to Adobe Premiere. A couple of hours after I had bought it I wrote them and told them that I wouldn't be needing it because it took too long for them to approve it. The girl at the support center told me that I would be refunded if they ended up charging me. Nice. Well, lo and behold I was just charged and they've made a team subscription for me?! What the fuck?
  6. Oh yes, acoustic treatment for sure! As Nil says, your mixes will improve like there's no tomorrow because all of a sudden you actually know what you're doing. Basstraps in all corners would of course be ideal. Build them yourselves. I'm all thumbs but I was able to build them easily and there are millions of guides on this online. Secondly, acoustic treatment on the walls and above you is a must as well, and if you wanna go completely mad, like I did, you should buy Sonarworks Reference just to put some extra icing on your studio. I was super sceptical about this at first, but holy shit, it fixed some nasty holes in the frequency spectrum in my studio. I can't recommend this plugin enough. As for studio monitors, I would recommend Dynaudio. I have the Dynaudio BM15A and I absolutely LOVE them. They are some of the best studio monitors I've ever heard and the bass is so fucking tight. The highs are crystal clear as well. I upgraded from the Rokit 8s and I was almost embarassed that I had used them for as long as I had once I heard the BM15As. But recommending monitors is like recommending headphones. I would never tell anyone that THESE are the studio monitors/headphones you should buy, because it all comes down to taste. So find a store where you can give them a listen and ask them to play some music you know.
  7. I know how they got their hands on these exclusives, but that's how you get exclusives and that's how you create competition in a market. They're a new player so they need reasons for people to use their platform. About their privacy problems... I know there have been rumours about spyware which turned out to be something in relations to their Support a Creator program and some hardware survey stuff. There was also the whole datamining Steam which turned out to be nothing as well. And yes, I know they've had issues with hackers (my account got shut down as well), but what can you expect when you've got the biggest game in the world on your hands and everyone and their mother will do whatever they can to buy that awesome dance animation. And to be totally frank, I am genuinely interested in hearing why people don't like the EGS. I'm not trying to start a fight. Problem is most comments I see about Epic are completely irrational. Such as this one... But hey, maybe I'm missing something obvious here. To me it's the same when Microsoft announces they've bought Double Fine because I'm pretty sure I can guess which platform the next Double Fine games will be exclusive on. I will say though.... Tencent owning 40% of Epic is pretty... scary.
  8. I’m not sure I understand the Epic hate? There’s Origin, GOG, HumbleBundle, Windows Store, Itch.io, Uplay... why does it matter that there’s another player in town? It’ll only give the gamers better deals.
  9. I'm in a good mood so the "A nice thread" has been reborn and your warn points have been revoked as well.
  10. The course can't be found?
  11. I’ll check out your GB level tomorrow morning ?
  12. Everything happens so much in that level. Just like IDMz.
  13. I just watched Hail Satan(?) and it was wonderful and Christian Americans are scary.
  14. Sounds like the bass isn't playing the root note? This is nice. Really like the bass pattern. Mix-wise your drums don't really seem to through at all. I can barely hear the kick when the bass is playing at full blast. The same goes for the snare. Maybe some compression and sidechaining would help you out. I think the biggest issue is the structure. The build-up around 0:45-0:53 got me excited. I was ready to jump off my seat, but the drums just sorta... well, reappeared. Also, I think it'd be wise to leave the knobs alone for a couple of seconds here and there because you seem to be twiddling those poor knobs like constantly. Give it some room to breathe before you start modifying the sound.
  15. What auxien said. There are some really cool sounds in this tune but it's not much of a tune right now. I really like the kick even though it smashes the entire mix to smithereens. I wish it was structured differently too. Or in other words, I wish it had some structure because right now you just seem to add new things and then another thing and then this thing. Things don't need to be unstructured to be "crazy afx futuristic beats", my man.
  16. Outer Wilds is one of the best games I’ve played the last 10 years.
  17. I'm recording an audiobook, doing the sound design for it, and mixing it. It's pretty fucking fun.
