  1. It's more like 34 hours since 2013. (all the AE_LIVE stuff, elseq, NTS, SIGN, PLUS) and that doesn't count any of that twitch madness or the warp tapes. Generous is not the word at this point...
  2. This has to eclipse keyosc and L—event for best watmm meme acknowledgement. A+ toplel
  3. many men have been searching for that for years...
  4. found it. thought this was weirder though. Get it together osc.
  5. I have a couple small videos attached here, they are pretty sick. Also, I don't want to hijack this thread too much... SJ_S2_4k-TL_2.mov SJ_S2_4k_SL_2.mov
  6. Thanks so much! We had 2 rigs set up with 31 mp 5D Mark IVs. One had a star tracking gps piece on the mount. So you basically snap a grid to the north star and that device tracks along the same speed as the rotation of the earth. That allows you to just keep taking photo after photo and get long exposure shots which you compile later and get what you see here. After you are affixed to the north star, you can essentially shoot anything you want to focus on and the camera will just follow along. The other shot with the rings is just a static mount pointing at the north star taking a photo every minute or so and that is when you. get the star trails as the earth rotates. It's pretty cool shit - if you can get to a remote place with very little light pollution, you can get milky way and some deep space stuff as well.
  7. Just a couple more here–the brighter spot on the right side of these is the andromeda galaxy. r cazt-style...
  8. I still want to make my shirt for the live tt1pd assault tour. sean pls
  9. Thanks! @very honest that is mars. the temperature dropped quite a bit throughout the night so we were fighting a lot of condensation on the lenses or it would have been much clearer. We got a good shot of the andromeda galaxy though. I will try and post more as we go through the 15gb of photos ?
  10. I ended up waiting until this past Saturday for my first listen to SIGN. I had a few buddies over and sat outside in my backyard with a raging fire and did some star photography. The warmth and colors of the fire as well as staring at the stars lent very well to the overall mood of this album (as well as various substances :P). I obviously had read a bunch about it and was keeping up with this thread but I definitely took away my own views from this and further listens. First impressions were just that it was crazy warm, lush and hyper-detailed. M4 Lema, Metaz form8, schmefd 2 and r cazt were the immediate standouts for me. schmefd 2 was without question my fav after 1 listen. It had such a dark and nasty groove. The whole time through the album, I couldn't decide if this was Autechre super zoomed out, or super zoomed in. It has this very microscopic detail to it, but it sounds like it is enormous at the same time. Autechre have always been experts at creating these little mini universes and this one just felt like the warmest and most humanistic to date. M4 Lema set the perfect tone and was beyond interesting to start. It felt like there was just tons and tons of tiny little pockets of intricacy meshing perfectly with the huge synth and pad washes throughout the entire hour. By reading a lot about this, it sounded to me like this was going to be a very ambient album but I found it so chock-full of rhythm. Everywhere. It's just executed in a different way. Overall, just another fascinating dive into a new realm of ae. There are a handful of bands that I have been listening to for over 20 years now, but Autechre's creative journey has been the most rewarding to follow along with, by far. Cheers.
  11. Little 3-track EP out today... https://lorn.bandcamp.com/album/the-map
  12. Guess he is more like Hans Off amirite
  13. Considering how sought after a sbd from the Quaristice tour has been for 12 years now, and considering how much work it was to put this together - I'd be more than willing to hand over a few bones for this. No question.
  14. This has been discussed at length in this thread. the sign cover consists of 2 "a" and 2 "e" shapes.
  15. yea, heavy GAS vibes on that preview. dig it. Still haven't listened to sign yet - tomorrow night - really looking forward to it a ton after reading all of the reviews and this maniacal thread
  16. flololol never a disappointment
  17. I am so familiar with this set as is, so listening with all these new layers is going to be a fun journey. The gratitude to digit and ios can not be expressed enough. Absolute kings.
