recently went back to this and am really enjoying it. It is super heavy and dark but has an oddly calming thing happening. Maybe its the global pandemic or something but it certainly has been hitting the spot as of late.

Seriously. Add Drukqs too. Blerp pls.

Listening to it just made me go back to Dropsonde, which is an absolute classic gem.

I couldn't possibly reorder any autechre release. I think they have always spent a ton of time sequencing things and they are amazing at it. Even their monster DJ mixes are perfect.

That is absolutely one of my fav boc tracks ever. Top tier all the way.

That was an absolute frenzy and I still have mixed feelings about it. I wouldn't mind a simple "here is an album right now" release for the next one if there is a next one

I think his more recent stuff is really great at first but then the albums just fizzle out for me, personally. I really enjoyed Death Peak and self-titled at first but I never go back to them at all. They just seem too clinical or something. Sort of lifeless. I'm not sure really what it is for me. I have such nostalgia from when Clarence Park was announced on Warp. The run from Clarence > Ceramics > ETBOY > Throttle Furniture > Body Riddle > Dragon > Totems is 10/10 stuff. Totems Flare is just perfect to me. Just amazing. He kept varying his sound and developing it along the way from when he first came up. Iradelphic is like a one-off, but after that, he has basically stayed in the same kind of 'clubby' area. Feast/Beast has some of my fav Clark stuff, however. I do hope this new album is a legitimate change in style and direction. Im not asking him to make ETBOY part 2, but all of those prior mentioned albums have a flair, swagger and general creativity to them that are missing for me on the stuff that came after. I realize that is over 10 years of material and maybe that doesn't interest him at all anymore. He obviously enjoys creating the soundtrack stuff but we shall see what he does on this one. I don't have high expectations, but I am also not being negative about it either.

The best part about him making a "Patriot Party" is that one existed in the 60s. And they were a socialist group... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_Party_(1960s–1980s) Also, that would just split republicans in half.

Maybe I am super naive about the US political system, but wouldn't these (relatively) simple things fix quite a bit: A) Term limits for Congress. I mean, isn't this a no-brainer? You could eliminate career politicians tied to mega-corps and self-interest groups, no? 2) Abolish the electoral college. There is literally no need for it. It would eliminate gerrymandering and make all votes count. D) Having the electoral college gone would then clear a path for a legitimate 3rd party. Both sides are so fucking extreme right now that anyone that comes right down the middle would seem like a hyper-intelligent logical person. Since no electoral college, you could have 3rd party members in congress and then a president who is neither a Republican or Democrat. I don't know, this just seems logical to me. But again, I also like cold toilet seats, so who knows. The way this country is looking, I am going to be asking Stephen G to sponsor me to move to Canada or maybe I should go to Denmark or something. What a mess.
