I had no GAS for 1,5 years since birth of my son. I have barely 1-2 hours a day for music making. Furthermore since the end of last winter i had to put major part of my gear into the big ikea box because that configuration had enormous amount of overhanging wires here and there. Kid could overturn my table one day (nowadays he would do this immediately). Also dozens of power supplies were lying on the floor so i had to free up some space on the table for them. Nevertheless i start to experience some sparks of GAS from time to time: Audiothingies Micromonsta and Elektron A4 But then i realize that i have no money due to nowadays exchange rate + lack of time and i stop GASing (i wouldn't mind to have micromonsta though lol). Also i made most compact, flexible and all-sufficient (to me) configuration for today. Thanks to OT and it's posibilities. Behold Edit: I'd also like to get Eventide DSP4000 or H8000 and mess with it via VSig

Yeah, they have been doing this kind of delay modulation on almost every release as far back as Tri Repetae. The control of it has just become a lot more sophisticated over the years. Funny. You can track their delay abuse evolution with boss rsd-10. In Tri Repetae's rsdio they used it just like plain delay module without pitch input usage. Pen Expers — oberheim dmx goes into rsd-10 and then some of signal goes back into pitch input. 6IE.CR — according to AAA Nord plays tones into rsd-10 pitch input. cr8000 is fed through rsd-10

Don't hear it, i'm generally OK with Actress, but this track is just generic British house of late 90s sorta instagrammed into current fashion. Now 7th slip really reminds me of All Tomorrow's Linoleum https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i2QJQlZpSwE Harsh! I see why you'd think that; I think I'm zeroing in on that droney chorused-out chord in the background. I always thought he was just using house as a structural template for his textural exploration, but now that I try to look at this particular track at the macro level I think you might have a point. I'm not hearing the All Tomorrow's Linoleum similarity except for the stuttery bits with the wide pitch modulation. I guess it's pretty par for Autechre for everyone to hear such different stuff in there :) i guess whole thing is in umami-melodies that swarming in background drone

Heh. You have to be in mood for it. Sometimes (in the morning especially) i can't hear anything special in it. It is like phantom.
