  1. Good call, I had the same impression. They certainly look alike.
  2. That scene was in the film, but it was very different - much darker. What purpose did these coastal dam type things serve? Protect against sea level rise?
  3. I recommend snowtown, animal kingdom and beautiful kate as well. They do gritty realism pretty well down under.
  4. i think i'm done with this show time to drop the Deuce i'm really underwhelmed by the deuce so far. unable to emotionally connect with a lot of the characters so far, but still going to stick with it for a while longer. heard its been renewed for a second season by hbo.
  5. So the new season takes place in New York and Columbia? How is it so far?
  6. Wow. Never heard Can in any soundtrack before. Living under a rock I guess. Don't watch many movies nowadays. Lots of Can in Morvern Callar.
  7. Really strong first couple of episodes! Edit: Some suspension of disbelief required.
  8. T'was his birthday yesterday Does anyone know exactly how we passed away? I heard it was an accident while vacationing in France. edit: as Godwin just asked.
  9. Here's a medley of sorts from India https://www.facebook.com/thezeroproductions/videos/1058999180866657/
  10. i can't believe the news. he passed at the age of 53. i was just listening to his beautiful soundtrack for Mannerlaatta yesterday. absolutely devastating loss :(
  11. I just downloaded this today. itunes or somewhere else? Im interested in watching this asap.
  12. Highly recommend The Stargazers Assistant (coil/cyclobe affiliated). This was a particularly beautiful moment for me! https://utechrecords.bandcamp.com/track/coral-butterfly
  13. Honestly, I have listened to a lot of idm, ambient house, psychedelic chillout and glitch while peaking and found it very appealing. But a neuroscience study from Imperial College backs up your claim about drone, as do some of my own experiences with Eliane Radigue, SOTL etc. Although this study was conducted in a controlled environment on a pretty tiny dose, 75 ug. I guess I personally bounce back and forth between the droning music and more complex stuff depending on my headspace.
  14. Some great recommendations here! Thanks everyone.
  15. Two suggestions for something a bit more playful and fun. Atom TM - Liedgut TCF - YYAA Tape
  16. Onden is incredible, but my personal preference was for Rituel De La Mort Du Soleil. Lush field recordings that transport me to a marshy lake. Something appealing about these organic sounds when tripping. I tried listening to the Spacetime / Terrance Mckenna album. Couldn't get past 5 minutes of the guy's rambling. Adding Seabiscuit to the list! KLF's Chillout works well on the come down, haven't heard Space yet, will rectify :) I can testify that these Orb albums works really great! So does Live 93.
  17. Hello. I am looking to diversify my collection of records to trip by. I've seen threads like this on reddit and other places but mostly finding superficial or obvious suggestions. So I turn to you WATMM. Could you fine folks recommend a few deep albums to psychonaut by, particularly while peaking? No genre restrictions apply, could be a soundtrack for some full power booty shaking or a more sombre entheogenic explorations. I'll start with a hat-tip for a stone cold classic and something a little different.
