  1. think this might fit in here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8JpaGft-4vc
  2. Indeed it is. Artwork is lush though. If it has the same production values as the Omit boxset they put out earlier it might just be worth it.
  3. Guys I discovered some really fucking gratifying music. A 4CD retrospective of lathe cuts put out by NZ-based Witcyst between 1993-1997. Expect some serious clang, lofi-fi abuse and bizarre instrumentation. https://endofthealphabetrecords.bandcamp.com/album/real-folk-lathe-cut-singles-1993-1997
  4. a bit cynical about my first listen as it seems like they've thrown a curve ball to their older fan base. though i did watch that EB documentary, which made it look like they had a blast recording this. fingers crossed.
  5. Angst, Man Bites Dog & Henry are the three best serial killer genre films ever made. I think.
  6. more hiphop, more electro, some lush ambience, plus confield-era sound alchemy, and i'll die happy.
  7. Need to collect and file these for future enjoyment.
  8. What ? Can't find it...Too bad, I was very looking forward to some more Pond Material :( I'm terribly allergic to cats, I have catblocker installed on my browser so I don't have to be in the precense of such monsters http://www.pointnever.com/catscraps.zip
  9. This looks lush. Combined with the endorsement of Richard Chartier on BC, instabuy. Very good call, sir! You won't regret it. The music is sooo fucking good.
  10. Picked up a 5cd retrospective on Picadisk from Omit, a New Zealander known for his oddball minimalism. My first cd buy in a few years, very happy with this. 4 copies left on bandcamp. Big recommended. http://picadisk.com/pica044.html https://picadisk.bandcamp.com/album/enclosures-2011-2016
  11. check our rhodri davies http://www.rhodridavies.com/
  12. Kathryn Bigelow's Detroit told pretty fucking grim story, but with really great performances on both sides of the cast. Not most realistic of films but certainly worth a watch.
  13. Just watched the series finalise of Vice Principals. I was mostly entertained by its special brand of mean-spirited humour . Walton Goggins and Danny McBride's over the top performances were incredible too. Time to watch Eastbound!
  14. Bought some essential reissues this month. The KLF - Chill Out (2017 Clear Vinyl Reissue) The Orb - UFOrb (2017 180gm Reissue) The Orb - Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld (2017 180gm Reissue)
  15. thanks for keeping this thread updated Rubin Farr. those astral disaster outtakes sound tasty indeed.
  16. bumping this thread with a few more trip tested recommendations from the lovely emit label
  17. Good call, I had the same impression. They certainly look alike.
  18. That scene was in the film, but it was very different - much darker. What purpose did these coastal dam type things serve? Protect against sea level rise?
