  1. Funny enough, I don't think I've ever once in my life hoped for an artist I liked to go in any particular direction on a new album. I just hope it's good.
  2. lol... this is something I would do. fwp: I'm about to watch that 6 part documentary on Auswitz, and I know I'm going to feel sickened and horrified, maybe a bit depressed afterward. But it's important, and it's going to happen. Fuck.
  3. I've been listening to Tam Quam Tabula Rasa quite a bit ever since they were recommended to me by malaria in my noise album thread. They're more ambient/drone/industrial, but quite noisy even in their most ambient moments. It's kind of like Zoviet France but with less ethnic instruments and more machines. In Absentia is an excellent album, perfect music for self-hypnosis: In other news, I was very disappointed with Incapacitants' new one, Mon, Ma? Mon!!! despite its excellent album title. I had high hopes after hearing Lon Guy, but this one seemed kind of lackluster in comparison. Aube's Variable Ambit however was an interesting listen. His work is very dynamic and more conceptual than a lot of noise music, more concerned with the sound design. In this album he plays around with a lot of ultra high frequencies... unfortunately I can't find any video or audio samples to share for this one, but I did find tons of negative reviews. (That's how you know it's good!)
  4. Yeah, sleep can fuck right off. Thanks to sleep I haven't seen sunlight in almost two weeks. fwp: gotta edit drums. Editing drums is boring.
  5. I feel a little better about my cat's shit problems after reading the relaxed sphincter problems of baph's and luke's kitties. My cat could crack a walnut with his loaf pinch. FWP: that phrase grosses me out. I am now a little bit off-put.
  6. My cat keeps making a wide variety of random sounds, like he's trying to communicate something important, but I haven't a clue what any one of them means. Guess I better go rough him up a bit and see if that helps.
  7. your sleep patterns are not very lush my friend They've been delushed ever since my girlfriend started working graveyard shifts. Now I wake up as it's getting dark out and go to sleep as the sun's coming up. I feel like I'm 21 again.
  8. That's like all my internet nightmares come true. I feel like I didn't experience an entire day today or yesterday. I woke up, went out for some brief social gathering/dinner, then it's pretty much time to go back to bed. Where did all the middle portions of my days go?
  9. I dreamt someone asked me how much money I thought I had in my wallet. After some thought I said $60. Then I woke up.
  10. That would be awesome. I use neither of those... but PM? Or email me: erichoggmusic at gmail dot com. I've listened to Incapacitants - Lon Guy a couple times this week, and it kicks ass. I like how it sounds like they're using different equipment or recording methods for each track. Go! employs the coolest use of room sounds... it's like being in the back of the concert hall during their set and drowning at the same time.
  11. I haven't had any luck finding music of the aforementioned artists, but the Hecker clip you posted is fantastic. I will probably buy that.
  12. Just finished my morning coffee and it's 6 goddamn PM.
  13. haha oh shit you did too! I thought that was the first one... but I thought all my Dead Space memories were from the first one, which I also have. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only person who does this. I also bought Aphex Twin's SAW vol 1 twice... probably in the same year. And I bought a Hella CD twice, but in that instance it was a case of ordering it online, then seeing it in a store for really cheap before the order made it to me (which I forgot about). I can probably sell that one for a profit.
  14. Just bought Dead Space 2, and so far I recognize everything. I'm worried that I already bought it a while ago and forgot about it. My hope is that the demo just covers a large chunk of the beginning and that's why it's all familiar. I'd check now, but the xbox is resting on all the game cartridges (yeah, I know...) and my gf is in the middle of a game. On the upside she shrieks anytime anything happens.
  15. Only got one pair of socks this gift day. Might have to buy a few of my own this year.
  16. I have not, but I shall! (Provided I can find it online somewhere... or the nearby rental place which might actually have it.)
  17. Man, this is blistering. I think the second half of the first track may have won the loudness war. It hurts so good. And the reverb trail ending closing a nice, unexpected touch. Very nice indeed. A stand out noise release for me this year was NON's Back to Mono. It's very diverse for a noise album, and has some extra tasty hypnotic textures that are great to get lost in. Like this:
  18. This reminds me of David Lynch's Rabbits series.
  19. omg I've actually been using that phrase with my gf. get out of my head. Also, holy shit at that xmas photo hello spiral posted. Think I might need to clear the cache on my parents' computer.
  20. My gf told me about foie gras right before she became a vegetarian. Yeah... not touching that stuff ever.
