the other day i fixed my pc after 18 mths of using a mac and producing NOTHING with it

i started this little tune during diagnosis murder and exported to mp3 during ready steady cook

it was my intention to rip off autechre a bit

more of an excercise than a serious offer of a "finished tune"

here it is...

too sampley and not enough processey for an ae rip-off, i think you chose one of the most difficult things to imitate ^^ some sounds remind of chiastic slide. it's always a good thing to try t imitate someone as long as it's only an exercise. good way to progress i reckon, i should do so myself. i like then ending a lot, esp that sound reminding of ep7.

thx for listen mr g

i should point out that i never meant this to pass for an actual ae track (like say awepittance)

i only spent 2 or 3 hrs on it

but compared to my other stuff, it is definitely more autechrey than anything else i do

Im enjoying it. The way the beats drill out at 1:17 seems a bit too programmed, if that makes any sense. Kept waiting for something to jump out or climax, which never happened, but I still enjoyed it and downloaded to the watmm folder.

sounds a lot like autechre to me, in a

good way. i like the tempo changes.

did you sample any autechre tunes to

make this? one sound reminds me of

a sound from tri repetae.

no autechre sampling

all programmed step by step

all drum machine samples

and 1 x 3osc. synth

the first YLC feedback i ever received was from you

(some years back, when you were natalie portman)

and ironically, that was approached in a similarly Ae influenced fashion

which is not usual for me

thanks for listening tne
