Sam
Don't know about their early days, but there is an amazing live track on the japanese confiled called "Mcr Quarter", fuckin incredible. Haven't heard that "Zurich 2001" live track though...
six
Are there any rare gems from their ealy days? Yeah Autechre/Gescom have a ridiculous amount of rare remixes/tracks, at least 50. Check out the remixes and "tracks appear on" section in discogs. http://www.discogs.com/artist/Autechre

ishishiba
Don't know about their early days, but there is an amazing live track on the japanese confiled called "Mcr Quarter", fuckin incredible. Haven't heard that "Zurich 2001" live track though... mcr quarter is kickass, the zurich live track off untilted is just a bit of crowd noise, not worth the bother. like six said, there are so many remix/comp trax that are really quality. my fave is the Ae remix of soft ballet forms from years back... mega crunchy with a killer part in the middle where it sounds like their equipment is grinding to a halt.
