i tried to buy fallout 3 on the best buy website and download it right away. now it asks for the serial number, but when i put it in it says the number is invalid, so i have to wait around for the damn customer service people to send me a new one while i could be playing the game. i'm pissed off.

Yeah, it's wierd. After dreaming about this for the 10 years since Fallout 2, I'm not sure if I can manage to stop playing Far Cry 2 right now..

The Collector's Edition will most probably show up in the mail later today though, I guess getting the package in my hands will put things in perspective.

well.

i have never played fallout 1 or fallout 2.

this game looks interesting, but a bit annoying. graphic-wise it's definitely a disappointment, even oblivion isn't that glitchy.

and the wilderness is visually tiring, i can't imagine to play in these surroundings for tens of hours!

will try it some more though.

Just like Oblivion the graphics can be beautiful one moment, ugly the next.

But I don't mind, the atmosphere is amazing, it's true to it's precedessor and it's got that great Bethesda touch. I've got a feeling this will be my favorite game of the year.

And it runs quite smooth on my mid-end system. Smoother than Oblivion even, especially in open area's.

i'll probably get this from the bargain bin by the time i can be bothered to upgrade my system. recently played thru fallout 2 with restoration project mod, which included a couple of new areas and loads of new quests not implemented in the original game.

throw too human away and steal $60 from one of your friends to make up for your horrible purchase

Funny thing is, i expect a lot of people will buy this game and not "get it." If you're not the type of person who'd enjoy a long hike alone, or get a thrill from exploring an abandoned building, you may end up scratching your head. Fortunately spending hours poking about the post-apocalyptic wasteland is bliss for me.

yea, i might just return too human and get fallout 3 instead. i still want to play too human (i like ransacking chests and dungeon crawling...and i like cyberpunk, so it seems only natural), but i think i can wait to play it. i don't think i can wait to play fallout.
