Fresh mussels from the South Philly market generously heaped with a sauce made of 3 types of diced tomato, spicy italian sausage, mushrooms, carrots, red peppers, fresh garlic, onions, and celery. The sauce was heavy on the garlic, hot sauce, brown sugar, and a small touch of worcestershire sauce to give it a unique boldness. Served with a sliced baguette and a bottle of XYZin 2006 Zinfandel.

 

It was delicious.
