good iPhone/iPod touch apps

so on friday i finished my current job before going back to uni in september. as an incentive for reaching targets we accumulate 'points' over the year. unfortunately i couldn't get these transferred into cash for tax reasons so my boss offered to go and get an 8gb ipod touch. which is nice.

at the moment i've downloaded 'technobox', a very wicked 808/909 and 303 emulator, and 'beatmaker', which i found disappointing at a £12 price tag (its a rudimentary DAW with 'mpc' type interface - although its got alot of potential as a live tool).

at the moment im eyeing up 8bitone for the novelty factor but id also like a reasonably powerful standalone synth (subtractive or FM) that could be implemented live. there's also the issue of midi - id like something to turn it into a tilt-sensitive kaoss pad or the like.

what other apps could you recommend, specifically free ones (and not just audio apps)?

oh, and games. what games are good?

cheers

i was going to say, bloom really doesn't look like my cup of tea. it seems like a novelty in the same vein as the buddha machine.

downloaded iSyn though, which is very cool - think it'll be good for putting down ideas. will check out some more suggestions next. thanks :)

zenonia: zelda like adventure

monster pinball: reinvents the concept of pinball with 6 interlinked tables and flunky physics (one table has bowl-physics for instance)

zen pinball - rollercoaster: imo best pinball simulator on iphone

texas hold'em: poker poker poker!

hero of sparta: god of war clone for the iphone. gives a good idea what's possible on the iphone

fieldrunners: if you're into tower defense, this is the one to pick
