Fox's last great non-Groening animation series officially ended yesterday, after 13 suprisingly consistent seasons. In it's place, Family Guy Mk. III will air. Thank god for Adult Swim until the entire series makes it to DVD.

I watched this last night with my kids and wife - two very nice episodes, and I LOLed at Boomhower being a Texas Ranger all along!

Yes, very sad indeed. I'm hoping it will be resurrected later.

I don't think so; in an interview with Mike Judge, I think he's done with Hank Hill's story. His other series, The Goode Family got cancelled after 13 episodes, and they're hoping it will be picked up by another network.

I'm hoping he does a series with Beavis and Butthead as old men. He's mentioned that before, and I think it'd be hilarious with them on Social Security and Medicaid navigating life as seniors.

Huh-huh-huh-huh - you soiled yourself, Beavis. Huh-huh-huh-huh...

Goode Family has a good chance of being resurrected, hopely on cable network so the writers can be less restricted. The show has its moments but the writing just seems a bit off. Either way, ABC blatantly killed it, they moved it like 3 times during its run.

But yeah, King of the Hill is done, which is sad but ok. Simpsons has been a little better since the movie came out, I think jerkass homer is finally dying. Still, it is way past its prime so I'm glad King of the Hill didn't decline the same way.

Another Beavis and Butthead incarnation would be great, we could use brilliantly stupid humor on VH1 or MTV for mockery purposes. It's funny to think both Hank Hill (Mr. Anderson) and Mr. Goode (David Van Driessen) are both really B&B characters.

Yep.

Man, too bad Beavis and Butthead never watched/reviewed an Aphex Twin video. At least that I'm aware of.

Uh huh huh. huhuhuhuh. "Come to daddy. YES!" A-huh huh.

Ive watched the odd episode of King of the Hill, often at 3 in the morning when completely baked, but i cant see exactly what is captivating about the show. What makes it good?

there's an episode where hank hill finds out he has no ass and he has to get a prosthetic one to cushion his boney behind.

he also gets raped by a dolphin and finds out he has an almost identical japanese brother (no correlation to the dolphin rape).

that is why king of the hill is amazing.

Those were prodigious years, King of the Hill, I thank you. I will miss your warm, sensible humor... your bucolic atmosphere... and the way you always seemed to hit the spot; how you weren't up your own ass. RIP... I'll enjoy your re-runs for many a year to come!

People thought a show about a propane salesman and his family and neighbours in a small Texas town would get old real quick, and 13 years later...

captures a small texas town well

isn't this why we don't live in a small texas town ... plus i come from a small town .. i know all about the eccentricities of the ignorant ..don't need to watch it on tV in a long running soap .... some of the concepts and delivery were ok and the overall production values if you ignore the artstyle was kept high so i can see why people would like it .. but i wouldn't call myself a fan ... nothing against mike judge though .. he's a cool cat ..

i liked the scene in south park where bart simpson wrestled with cartman;

they rolled in one door of the king of the hill building and out another, with a load of writers and artists working away contentedly in the background, whilst trey and matt and groening were freaking out over manatees and idea-balls :sorcerer:
