I'm getting a good deal on a 70inch plasma TV from a family friend while he upgrades to a full blown projection theatre system, so pretty soon there will be little reason for me to ever see things on release. the only issue is I'm going to have to dedicate my whole den to it so I can sit far enough away. I haven't laughed so hard at a film in the cinema in ages. The bit where the henchman dressed as a cookie gets shot, and falls to the ground like a coin, is absolutely inspired! This will be put to the test when the Hobbit comes out, though. I sit about 2.5 meters (eye to screen) from a 60 inch screen, i wouldn't sit any further back if it was a 70 inch. Think about it in comparison to how big cinema screens are when you sit in there. Do you like to sit at the back(about what it's like for me now), or somewhere in the middle? Had tears in my eyes at one point from laughing, when: there was that happy time montage about halfway through, starting with the newspaper boy showing that BD wiped smack off the streets... I went into it expecting and wanting to like it after seeing the trailer but so many of the jokes and intentional goofs fell flat with me.
