what is that exactly?

 

looks like some sort of bologna? with broccoli?

 

looks like good comfort food no doubt.

 

It's kale with potatoes and smoked sausage.

It takes some time to appreciate but it's good.

The plate in the picture misses a small gravy hole.

mussels - i steam them in white wine as said but toss through a large chopped clove of garlic and a knob of butter, ground black pepper, then a dash of cream before serving. de-fuckin-li-fuckin-cious!

Wot, no cranachan? Actually I'd say ye have more indigenous dishes than we have here across the water - the potato panckae here is called Boxty. You lot also have crubeens (salted pigs trotters) cos I saw a fellow cook them on Come Dine with Me lately. How about colcannon (potatoes mashed with cabbage)?

aye they're good ones too these were just off the top of my head. tattie scones on a bacon roll with fried egg!

 

my preferred scottish potato dish would be stovies...
