Only once on hash, but that was after doing 50 knife hits and then getting a wall toke... Nicotine causes raised blood pressure, and is vasoconstrictor, which makes it harder for the heart to pump blood through arteries (as opposed to THC which is a vasodilator (it's why your eyes get red when you smoke) and makes it easier to pump blood around the body). This process has to be slow cause chaos would ensue if they announced any real plans before they happen. I think the majority of Americans don't really give a shit - I'm sure it's way low on their list of concerns after things like jobs and health care - plus the religious right will have a field day with it. When you look at all the money thats essentially been wasted over the past 40 years by a program that was started by the GOP, its going to be extremely hypocritical for the Republicans to be able to debate against it. It certainly is more powerful in its effect, but it is not "more fucked up". I guarantee that if you look at statistics, you will find many more fucked up, negative acts attributed to alcohol than LSD.
