OGV vinyl?

yeah I found that when I googled it, but I want more specifications and technical info. how it works etc.

is the sound quality less good than on a non-ogv record? people say 12" singles sound best because the grooves are wider.

it's probably cheaper to squeeze the tracks down to 2xLP instead of 3xLP, but this would affect the sound quality wouldn't it?

someone on here ought to know

The best sounding records are supposed to be 12" 45s, preferably with sides no longer than six minutes, don't know why but I seem to remember I read it from a cutting engineer. To be honest I don't think this stuff matters that much, when you're talking vinyl you can already forget about "perfect" reproduction anyway, and there are many things more likely to ruin the experience (off-center records and warps, to name two of the worst offenders that occur even in brand new records).
