awepittance Posted February 15, 2010 Share Posted February 15, 2010 cool, yeah Dastgaah is very under appreciated and unique album. it's hard to market music that isn't straight up noise/ambient/drone that is beatless electronic music. i walked into Ameoba records out here when i first got the CDS back from the plant and i had to convince the record buyer that it wasn't 'electronica' in the traditional sense. I was like this is experimental because its making persian music on synthesizers, and he's like 'ok thats electronica' and we kept going back and forth for a while. my favorite sote track ever though is this one - http://www.emusic.com/samples/m3u/song/10990167/14844452.m3u 'shattered dreams decoded' it appears on his persian electronic music double CD on sub rosa records as well, great fucking song though Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
