game of thrones again!!!!

this, i re-watched it for the second time last week, i missed so many little things the first time around because i was watching it as it was released instead of all in one go (not read the books)

ya tottally i watched it like 5 times now inluding when it was on tv but it really is super awesome theres a lot of stuff that happens that u dont notice 1st or even 2nd times and then when u read the book its a whole nother story they really have fleshed those characters ot even if u dont actally see EVERY detail of whats happening thats in the book you can FEEL its there its super impressive how much thought they put into it imo

I'll bookmark this as my watching list now then.

I did watch game of thrones back to back over a few days, it was excellent.

I started watching Caprica, watched most of the first season but it wasn't great, is season 2 better?

In a world that has turned its back on science fiction, you learn to take what you can get. I don't recall which season I liked better but the story arc carries on through the whole series so if you don't enjoy the story so far it's probably not worth the trouble.

edit: ok if all seasons combined is a series in the united states and a US season is a series in the UK what does that make a US series in the UK? damn language barrier.

Your so right about the Sci-Fi. I saw this article yesterday about the Astronaut who did the mental maths to get back to earth:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Cooper

Anyway from that article I linked to his UFO claims, very interesting. And from there I linked to this thing about the skulls:

http://www.world-mysteries.com/sar_6.htm

And that went on about Star Beings. And from there I went to this thing about Egypt and weather they were commanded by aliens and aliens helped build the pyramids:

http://www.netscientia.com/egypt.html

Anyway, weather that's all bull shit or not. The whole thing is totally fascinating and would be excellent if some Sci-Fi could capture it. I think Alien vs Predator had the thing about the Egyptians built the Pyramids for the predators to house the aliens.

A bit of a digression, perhaps a good separate thread.

Most people were confused about why the aliens in Cowboys and Aliens wanted gold but to me it seemed obvious that they borrowed that idea from the Zecharia Stichen translation of the ancient summerian tablets which according to him say that on a planet far out in our solar system there were aliens who needed gold which they used to implement some aspect of their atmosphere and they genetically engineered humans from the native monkey things to make slave gold miners, hence the missing link.

THEN there was the total blunder of season 2 of The Sarah Connor chronicles where they either engineered this complex fabricated story http://isaaccaret.fortunecity.com/ as a really intensely bizarre viral marketing for the show or they just ripped the idea off. Keep in mind that this isaac caret thing happened quite a bit before the show was ever on tv. WTH.

+1 for Band of Brothers. Short, but very much worth it.

I've benn hungering for some good sci-fi so I'm checking out Firefly and Dollhouse. As I said, I loved Battlestar Galactica but quickly lost interest in Caprica. The History has this documentary series about aliens in ancient times which is total crap - it reminds me of Ghost Hunters. And Stargate (the film; I've never seen the series).

Yeah, Caprica gets better as it goes. It really felt more like one continuous season than whatever seasonal breakdown it was actually given.

It's not BSG quality, although it sort of abstractly fills in a lot of the religious/mystical plot holes BSG accumulated over the years, and for that reason alone I think it makes a good companion series.

I'm sort of biased by the raging horn alessandra torresani gives me, mind you.
