Use soaking wet hands for maximum CLAP effect. Hmm yeah I tried soaking wet hands a while back, it sounded better. But what I often get is a too harsh attack I reckon. I want them to be a bit more, I don't know smooth? I'm using a cheap ass old condenser mic though. I hope you're not joking because I do this almost every morning, accompanied with a weird shoulder roll head nod dance, slapping out a four-on-the-floor bassdrum on my stomach.
