Not sure if this is the right place to post, but I'm posting it anyway. Here's a link to Melissa Murphy's instagram page with lots of before-after make-up pics of porn stars. Some of these women are hardly recognizable, btw. Pretty scary.

Would have posted an example if my idevice wasnt fucking up with grabbing pics from instagram

you realize this is the case with most women who wear makeup? not exclusively pornstars.

i don't know if i would go that far, some of these are pretty crazy. Most regular woman don't have very red blotchy hard drug binge faces like that, at least not around where i live

Otherwise you get rapey priests....

i'm seriously sick of this popular stereotype of priests being rapists and pedophiles. i know it's off-topic, but i keep hearing this kind of crap over and over, it's just really boring. and dumb (imo).

we're not allowed to say "butthurt" on WATMM

because it was deemed "really stupid"

it's stated very clearly in the rules

I think a lot of catholics end up butthurt though. It just takes them years to step forward with the allegations.

How many times have you seen pornstars without make up? I've already seen most women without, of course. And most of them look pretty normal without. It's about HOW they look different.

It's like watching a car accident. Pure novelty! (and dopamine)

most women also don't wear that much (probably cheap) caked on makeup, which can't be that good for the skin

Rape and sexual abuse in the church is a huge problem, but it's also a huge problem in secular society. If you could look at "proportion of priests who rape" and "proportion of men who rape," I wouldn't be surprised if they were roughly similar.

The difference being, I suppose, that in the church you have a prestigious and influential organisation behind you to help cover up your crimes and intimidate or silence your victims. Although the police/judicial system/society in general do a fairly good job of this for secular victims, too.

It's certainly not abstinence that makes men rape. Most rapists aren't abstinent (nor are they priests).

On porn: not opposed to it in principle, but as an industry it seems incredibly exploitative and violent in many instances. Same goes for most industries of course. In practice I tend to find most porn absurd anyway - I want to see people enjoying themselves. Homemade porn is obviously the best porn. But honestly I have a good sex life with my partner so I'm not really inclined to spend my spare time masturbating.

Of course things aren't as simple as that- it's a bloody given. It isn't however, healthy to view sex/masturbation as something bad/unnatural it's important to teach those how we can express those behaviours whilst keeping within society's moral boundaries (I know this is subject to change as we progress, but please don't isolate this point as it would be obvious and cause no real argument).

Child molestation is different to 'standard form of rape' as well- sometimes child molesters were themselves victims and this is programmed to be the 'norm' in their minds.

Sometimes those who rape women have issues of anger or have other complex issues- unrelated to how much sex that they have. I do acknowledge those points.

I don't dispute any of that. If psychoanalysis has taught us anything it's that feelings of guilt and shame over sex and especially masturbation are immensely damaging.

rape in america has dropped dramatically in the last decade.

http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/ten-miles-square/2011/06/the_startling_decline_in_rape030041.php

could free interwebs pron be the culprit?

also curious to see rape statistics for countries that have legal prostitution as opposed to one's that don't

specifically those which are geographically close to the countries that do have it legalized.

thanks for having used discernment on this topic. i'm not a catholic by the way.

also, keep in mind that pedocriminal networks exist, and they have nothing to do with religion as far as i know. but investigating those is fairly dangerous so it's easier to point out pedophile priests and consider that priests invented pedophilia and that they are the greatest threat to children, when things are much more complicated than that, and way darker (imo). but that's a different topic.

impakt, were the women prostitutes you picked up after jogging in manhatten while your suicidal sister hung around your apartment? or maybe a whore and a friend who you regaled with reviews of the latest phil collins track while you flexed your biceps in the mirror?

Pretty much.

wait, what? You're saying that people are scared of "pedocriminals" so that's why they go after priests? No, I think they'd love to go after both, but the hypocrisy of priests fucking kids is especially galling

What you're forgetting lumpenprol is that BT is a conspiracy theorist in the vein of David Icke. Along with their common-or-garden antisemitism and belief in a secret lizard race, an absolutely fundamental aspect of their worldview is their belief that most if not all men in positions of political power are part of a literally Satanic child abuse conspiracy.
