Looks like the new film starring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost is due out 23rd August this year. I don't watch new films much anymore, but I'm curious about this one. These guys were awesome in Hot Fuzz.

yes this is pretty much guaranteed to be good - Paul was the same way, very enjoyable even though I wasn't as funny as Hot Fuzz or Shaun of the Dead

Sounds good, they've talked about Worlds End being the third in the Cornetto Trilogy (the other two being Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz, which feature different flavour cornettos)

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World's End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind's. Reaching The World's End is the least of their worries.

Paul was shite imo, catering too much to the American Market. I'm a big fan of Spaced and thought Shaune of the Dead was brilliant,. Hot Fuzz less so. Pegg was pretty good in A Fantastic Fear of Everything and I have high hopes for this new movie. As long as they keep it real and more British

Paul was a different director, right?

yeah.

i never bothered to see Paul cause i fucking hate Seth Rogan (especially his voice) and i refuse to watch anything with that douche bag.

I never bothered seeing Paul. Something about the trailer rubbed me the wrong way. It just seemed pretentious. I reckon it's more so due to the production than the cast though.

Paul was more cute and forgettable, the best part is actually the first 15-20 minutes where Nick and Simon geek out about the fact that are fulfilling a lifelong dream of "seeing America" and hitting up UFO spots in a R/V truck. I like Seth Rogan and Kristen Wiig a lot, so that's probably why I enjoyed it. It's a fairly predictable and mediocre film, worth a rental imo but nothing beyond that.

I reckon this will be quite good, and will act as the proper follow up to Hot Fuzz , this being the end to the trilogy.. Paul was a different director, no?

Really liked Shaun of the Dead but I thought Hot Fuzz was pretty wank.

Attack the Block was underrated but I thought Joe really need to hand the script to a decent writer for some adjusting.

pegg with black hair? looks okay otherwise

Yea he looks a bit shaggier than he did in the previous films. But that's not to say my hopes are diminished any.
