Name this '90s pad synth

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to identify this string/pad synth I've heard in a couple tracks, but can't figure out exactly what synth it is. Help?

From the intro of "Cups" by Underworld:

And in the background of "Fly over Bombay" by A Reminiscent Drive:

FWIW, I suspect the same synth (with different presets) is used on ARD's "New Jerusalem":

Thanks! This is driving me nuts.

Could be lots of things, I reckon. A ROMpler with a string wave. Try to find a preset called "5th Pad" or just set 2 oscillators 7 semitones apart, or just manually play fifths on a string preset.

fiddling with frames, saved as monochrome, but remember to keep it 200x200, otherwise it won't "run" in the avatar

what:

from some 70s haunting thing..wait..ah, this one..

let's scare jessica to death

I'm not going to lie, I'm jealous of your avatar, i owe co-co. I suggest you pay co-co with a good avatar, whoever he or she is.

The 90s padsynths are all named 'jealousy' after being 'jealous' of the inability of computers to make analog pads.
