excerpt from a live i had few days ago (opening track) with some two-bus post-production for home listening pleasures.

it's a techno (technoid?) track i guess (i never knew what techno is or isn't :facepalm), drum variations in essence, but it doesn't end with techno ;)

...i could make a 'normal' track from it i guess; now it's about 72% finished, as i see it.

crank it up, plz. it likes it a'lo! :sorcerer:

You start off strong with sound that you could take much deeper, but you refuse to do so and stay on the surface. Is that really what you want? You

could a a pad/drone/noise synthesizer to your setup if you dont already have one. This is cries for something that supports the mood.

yes i thought about a pad but i wanted to demonstrate variations without pad, minimalistic approach, so that the later melody can enter on a 'dry' beat, for greater effect. the second track was much more melodic, with only kick and differently pitched claps as percussion elements making another contrast but to the complete first track...and so on. another thing is that pad would be expected... but i agree about the pad, for a finished track.

regarding ''staying on the surface'', yes i wanted that for the live, for an opening track ...later i went much deeper

Any chance of having a full show uploaded?

ok, here's the second track from the live, kind of an intermediate track, easy going. latter tracks are much deeper and darker but i'm planning to send them to some labels, imo they could be good enough for that (when finished)...so no soundclouding for them for now, sorry ;)

plz, remember that this one is also en excerpt form a live not a finished track. :emb: thnx for listening!

p.s. also, the first track has plenty of pads in the last quarter so i thought it'd be too much if i'd put them throughout whole of the track

0:06 - Hmm, from the start I'm deffo liking the components, but I feel like the arrangement of the drums and the metallic sound could be switched a little to make it more catchy (Though I understand if that's not your goal). Namely you seem to have something pretty similar to a classic Jersey Club beat going here (Doot doo-doot da-doot-doot) and if that metallic sound acted on the where the first clap would normally be, could get a nice rhythm going.

0:20 - Ok, now these scratching noises right here are dope. Really go well with the existing drum beat, but now the metallic sound is throwing me off a bit as it doesn't sit as well in the pattern as those two do with each other.

0:50 - I like this section best so far. Real energy here. If I could make a suggestion, right at

1:16 - or here abouts, it'd be really cool if that background pip noise dropped out and we got just the drums and the scratching for a few bars. I feel like that really get it pumping for a few, then start introducing new elements.

1:53 - I can't lie, I wouldn't be sad if the metallic noise was just dropped from the song after the intro.

2:09 - Right here I should mention something that's been bothering me a little, which is the track often feels like it's right about to drop into it's main melody or a chorus or something, but never seems to quite get there. The drums are sick, the scratching adds a nice rhythm, but somehow I feel like there's a main hook hidden in this song where the drums are turned up a little louder, one consistent pattern, something catchy and pumping. For example spot there the buildup leading to 2:09, but at 2:09 the beat still seems a bit confused by extra sounds. Just a little trimming and rearranging and this could be phenomenal.

2:28 - Like again right here, if you just dropped out that little ringing and bubbly noises in the background, the two main elements would be impossible not to move to.

It's about right here that I noticed that this is an 11 minute track, so I started jumping around a bit after this point.

5:04 - This is actually quite dope here, but loses it's energy everytime the loop repeats without any changes or minimal changes.

8:06 - This synth is friggin rad.

Yeah, so, many v cool elements that I feel like could form a hyperdope track, but at present don't quite compliment each other as they should.

thnx for your kind words and suggestions, manaat! i agree to most of them, if not all.

it's a work in progress, only 2/3 done. it's a track from live performance (in this form it's not good enough for concentrated home listening) but i have to say it sounded pretty good and really MASSIVE there.

new track

...and with pads ;)

Takes me deep down the vortex. The pic perfectly fits the track, i'm in that valley. Not many dark ambient style tracks are able to project stuff into my mind, this one does.

Thank you.

Really like HhuuLŁ (live version)

I get a bit of a Vessel vibe which is a massive compliment in my book :) Love the resonant synth drone thing coming through almost like a a metallic didgeridoo or something. Mad props on that however you made it...is it a sampled sound? I would personally be adding more variation to the beat and instruments around the 6 min mark but I get that this is a live version so perhaps I need to here the original.

Wicked though. Adding you on SC

hey, thnx man! ;)

regarding the ''resonant drone'' ...it's a sound made of granular synthesis with a voice sample with lots of automated processings + live manipulations, as you can hear those easily.

yes, i'll add a few variations to the final version (not finnished yet), but not too many cause i want to perseve that constant pressure and too many variations could wash out the track

see ya on sc!
