One guy who is much older and about to retire likes Trumps ideas but doesn't like the way they are presented. I've said this to people I know before. It's a matter of tact. Sometimes it's not what you're saying or doing so much as how you're saying or doing it. Trump has the tact of an angry 10 year old who has just been told he's not getting ice cream or something. His temperament and apologists for it baffle me the most. I know people who readily excuse or even like his faults yet spent 8 years cynically scoffing and critiquing Obama on every little thing. It really makes you wonder if racist and sexist undertones are behind such attitudes. I think it's severe narcissism that pervades everything he says and does. Whether that precedes the racism/sexism I don't know and is probably a moot point but yeah, this guy has extreme narcissistic tendencies.

no, although the same file will degrade over time with multiple playbacks due to bit erosion. in fact, the easiest way around this is to simply make a new copy while it's still premium-grade and keep copying that forward. Not to be confused with the music losing quality from playback in the same way that a vinyl record does from the needle over many plays. Rather, the storage medium degrades over time, so keep making backups to new media and verify that your files are uncorrupted from one backup to another rather than potentially copying over a good file with a now corrupted one (at least I think that is what you're referring to). Ok good, that's what I've been doing

huh... I too have a huge CD collection but I always just ripped albums as soon as I got them, and I've been maintaining the same files (copied from hard drive to hard drive) ever since. Does the sound quality of digi files degrade when copied so many times over time? =/

All of our newspapers are referring to it as a terrorist attack. They have been very clear that it was a french Canadian as well. Edit: just saying it doesn't look like our media has the same shitty agenda, which is nice. Community response so far has been very positive as well. It's basically being universally condemned, as it should be. Editeditedit: but I see now he hasn't yet been charged with terrorism related charges, which is horseshit IMO. Says investigation pending but yeah.

I bought a couple terabyte backup drive specifically to mirror my music directories. In case my main hard drive ever crashes. Also another option is to burn chunks of it to blu ray discs. I did that too in case my backup drive fails >.< edit: assuming you must have had a hard drive crash or something? I am running Yadis! Backup. Auto writes my music folders to wherever I designate. It's free and I haven't had any issues so far.

lol else-q 1 and 4 are my fav. My contention is more with tracks that are 23-27 minutes long that sound like subtly changing parameters in max patches, a few plinky plonks with no progression, that are getting near universal appraise. And then reading that I prefer a sick album like Syro only because of idolatry not because I actually enjoy that music more. obligatory edit: I know spi didn't say of what I just said. I just haven't had mah coffee yet.

Or because some people actually prefer his music instead of 26 mins slight changes here and there.
