  1. Philomena 8.3/10 - Class. Heartwarming storytelling without the schmaltz. Walter Mitty 8/10 - Enjoyed. Brilliant action sequences with an actual storyline? Man, this Stiller guy is an underrated director. R.I.P.D. 6/10 - Top marks for CGI effects and visual style but really lost in a bunch of plotholes as to what he hell is going on.
  2. I think Fantano is doing those comic interludes because he has ambitions to do some material on SNL or Jimmy Fallon.
  3. Ah, this role led to Goldblum getting cast as Brundlefly. And then many years later he was given a new lease of life as part of an ensemble cast in some Wes Craven films.
  4. Bad Neighbours - 5/10 When will this assortment of limp dick douches accept that they need Apatow in their corner. Escape Plan - 6/10 When will this assortment of iconic musclemen accept that with a decent script this could have been awesome. Failed opportunity. Grand Budapest - 9/10 When will Wes Craven stop making me fall for his quirky cinematic style. AAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!
  5. I have a feeling it was created with the sole intent of being remixed and looped live. It's very bare. Even the title makes it sound like it was supposed to be a tool for live performances. I was thinking of clobbering an extended mix together myself, there are just enough elements to put together a longer floor-stomping beast. guys, just listen to Quoth Listened to Quoth EP today, similar beat tempo to Kiks but it just doesn't have the same donk on it
  6. I'm still using this old baby from 2006. I like it a lot, it's got a no shit user interface and the software is hassle free..but it's an HDD so it's quite heavy. I even sent it back to the service centre a few years ago at great expense to put a new battery in it. I have been tempted by the new mp3 players but i'm disinterested in all the extra shit that they're capable of, it's primarily for music. Plus I cannot be arsed transferring my music library onto a new system, it's time consuming as shit and i don't have most of it backed up on the computer anyway, so this machine will have to last me till death.
  7. And i'm pissed off that AFX Tribal Kiks stops after a minute because that tune was going places. WTF?!!
  8. The LP is a 3/5 album imo. I'm not going to romanticize the notion of it being ''oh ever so awesome'' just because of the weird way us buffoons got our hands on it. It's alright. Some decent tracks, some not so good ones. It's an album which teases the listener.
  9. I can't believe he suggested that the metz track could have potentially been withheld because someone uploaded it and tarred everyone with the same brush. In his rage his imagination completely ran away with him Oh god.
  10. I just remembered which Ae remix that Phlaps track reminds me of. It was the Merzbow one.
  11. Just watched Episode 4 of the 2nd series of Hannibal and thought it was the best yet. Immense. Kinda binge watched the last 4 episodes of Bates Motel yesterday, great conclusion with Norman getting a polygraph test. Brilliant acting in that show. Fargo threw a little curveball jumping ahead a year. Then Malvo at the end making himself known to Lester. Could be a coincidence that Malvo's there and Lester could finish him. Malvo is evil, sure, he killed mostly idiots but he killed that poor dog so he deserves to meet a gruesome demise.
  12. That Phlaps tracks a bit of alright, innit? In higher quality it could damn well raise the roof! Pateince old chaps.
  13. Really like this one. A massive print of it would be damn nice. Imagine one side of your lounge's wall space filled with that.
  14. Sprillian, this sounds completely abhorrent. I have done these stock count things in the past where the stock takers have been a bunch of bastards and I've had a late finish, only to get up early the next day to go back there after being up late counting their shit. I got measly wages for it as well (this was 2003 and i got time and a half). The company was a well known electrical retailer. I know them as Cuntys.
  15. Liked it on first watch, but only truly understood it after reading an online synopsis by a heavy Kubrick geek. Reading deep insightful interpretations on a film can make what first seems a confusing or average film turn into a thing of splendor. This most recently was the case with Enemy. Just need the gaps filled in a little.... a little help with the jigsaw.
  16. If it is the film usagi is talking about he's given away the ending. But it might not be, so the ending could still be a surprise. I do remember there was a twist in the tale.... Definitely worth a watch anyway.
  17. Perhaps, it's My Little Eye? Not seen it since it originally came out so can't remember the ending but sounds similar to what you describe. Pretty decent film as i recall. Directed by a mad Welsh bastard as well. I'll need to watch it again, quite eerie.
  18. The charities are striving to make the world better and fairer. That was until MassfreeKid appeared on the scene with his new world idealisms straight outta North Korea.
  19. Close Encounters is the one i thought with the red light under the closet door. I also suspected the little astronaut ornament was from Close Encounters too.
