Getting to a break even point for a Star Wars movie is still a huge flop. Star Wars movies are expected to earn ~$700M at least at the box office alone. Having a movie that was mired in production troubles and studio interference hold up other SW movies is perhaps a bit reaching it. How about Disney allow the filmmakers and writers they hire for big money to do their thing instead of interfering with it. Of course no guarantee that it will produce a hit, but I bet it will be less bland.

Nothing matters. This is what the US is and has always been, a racist country. Half of the country will always support the GOP, no matter what. Racist policy and rhetoric is now commonplace, Trump has emboldened other racists and idiots to run and their platform is getting support. The Dems might get their blue-wave but them being as spineless as they are, they've been moving right-ward for years in the name of bi-partisanship and decorum, as the GOP have gone farther right in the same time. Just waiting for "liberals" to point out that there aren't enough women guards in the concentration camps.

Had no expectations for it and it was a quite decent SW movie. Glover was good as Lando and the dude playing Han was alright too. Emilia Clark not so much. The rest did a professional job, got a paycheck and got to be in a Star Wars movie. Chewie being more animated than usual, probably helps not having a 70-year old playing him. The budget for this was apparently $250 million but somehow didn't show, the only set piece that looked like it could have cost a lot was the train heist, the mining colonyon the other hand looked very small. Also the colors in the movie looked rather dull (watched it in 2D). The movie was nothing special but watchable, like so much of what Disney is doing.

The fact that "NTS Sessions 1-4" is the duo's least edited album means that we listeners get closer to the process, closer to all ideas that slowly grow up and mutate. How did this internet person come across that "fact"? By counting the casuals in titles? Did i miss something? It's obviously because the tracks are so long, no one would ever release so lengthy tracks otherwise.

Currently reading the fourth book (The Citadel of the Autarch) in Gene Wolfe's The Book of the New Sun saga. Apparently a classic science-fantasy novel which somehow had eluded me. Dying Earth type of setting, set millions of years in the future where forgotten tech is to the narrator like magic. It's good stuff and definitely has me considering another read through because it has layers and the narrator doesn't really seem reliable. Great use of archaic words to add some spice and strangeness to the language. I am also in the process of reading the 4kg omnibus of Jack Kirby's Fourth World comics that came out last year. 70s comics silliness <3

Mostly I have been listening to them session wise, but I return to favourites. Once all of the sessions are out, having them all in one playlist might be a good way to go. That said, there's a whole lot of stuff to digest. Might ration it out, so I don't burn out on it too quick.

What you all on about dissing the sound quality of new Ae. It's crisp as fuck and insane stereo imaging. It breathes. Don't mind the less low-end, it's still there, at least when I am on headphones with my DAP (that might have some bass-boostEQ going on, granted). S'all good.

I am starting to think that Trump wasn't truthful when he said he only hires the BEST PEOPLE. Or then Trump has a different idea on what the best really is. I think the latter is more believable since he seems to occupy a different reality than the rest of us. It's still mind-boggling that the US elected this turd of a person as president. Personifies the ugliest parts of US culture.
