  1. imo Easyfun the best of the pcmus gang by a looooooooooooooooooooooong way
  2. Yep Yep Lynch's son :) (finally rewatched the final 2 eps the other night and they weren't as confusing as I'd remembered)
  3. Met these guys at a Sophie show in December, you can juuuuuust about hear the influence. https://youtu.be/k0M3iIf2wdg
  4. Fingers crossed they move to Hollywood and do shit loads of coke before writing the next stuff. I like TH, it paints the air a beautiful shade of bleak while it's on.
  5. Lovely. I do this quite a bit with dictaphones too, it's degrading. Makes me wince I tell thee. Interested to see if the Digitone is a spiritual successor to the Monomachine. I want a digital synth with a load of different ways to generate sound and a sensual, plockable sequencer.
  6. Want to try the butter thing (reckon it'd mix well with the honey too). Squee I drink many cups of the black stuff a day so it's ok to experiment. Christmas dinner is going to be pineapple pizza with mint chocolate in the crust followed by a high quality black coffee with honey, butter and turmeric.
  7. Black coffee with honey...think Bulk v'Hooj gave me the idea on this very board. It's bangin'.
  8. Their Model D rip is pretty amazing for the price to be fair. Interested to have a play on these lovely hunks of plastic when they happen.
  9. I really like the new form factor but it looks much less practical to gig/travel with so I'm sticking with my mk1s for now.
  10. You can definitely make full tracks on either. Any sound is available because you can also sample on both machines (though I think the MD degrades everything, not in a bad way mind).
  11. Microtonic is fun, the Elektrons go way deeper. There's a learning curve but once you get your head around the architecture they're very intuitive. Here's some spliced together bits of rytm jamming - levels are all over the shop and nothing is produced but will give you an idea of the timbre of the thing. There's some other sound sources involved but not much (and not used percussively) - last 3mins are definitely rytm only. Polyrythms are possible in Elektron sequencers but in a 'work-around' sorta way (or easily programmed from a DAW).
  12. Album pairs really well with this vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXjJdv5fj5k
  13. Alien & Bladerunner both box office failures...maybe combine them? They'll probably end up as part of the Marvel 'universe' in 10 years anyway.
  14. iPhone X too good for this world
  15. Frickin' love wasabi (and horseradish, which is usually what you're getting when it says wasabi). Delicious alien was at Guangzhou Street, Wanhua District, Taipei City, Taiwan. Out here doing some collaborative stuff, if anyone's been and has recommendations I'm all ears.
