  1. And It seems I'm on a some strange Godflesh / JKB quest since even that Humanoid is kinda related to them. Can't tell how I've been able to ignore the Humanoid comp for all these years. Have tried to get into Stakker's Eurodance a few times which doesn't really rub me in a good way and assumed this was the same thing. But on the contrary, this is very strong comp. Luckily heard a bit from it on a Royal Subsonic Consortium mix and had to look it up. Always nice when you find something new from the label you thought you knew inside out. God, Humanoid, maybe should grab Pink Floyd's Animals next.

    Dark Techno

I heavily associate Dark Techno with Mord which has tons and tons of banging releases. I did like this: Also, you guys must know Grounded. I really love the idea and execution of this project. Many gems and mixes which are downloadable on WAV. If you're new to this, better get your shovel and star digging because there are so much stuff. Shit, don't know what to show as an example so let's try this: Then some smaller labels like Obscuur records and T/W\B Soz if too obvious. I'm kinda noob with the genre.
  3. Finally grabbed this: And although have owned SOLAH for years, had to get this box (btw I love that red artwork). It was dirt cheap anyway

    ACID

@MIXL2 Nice post with the Brain recs. Did mistake it for Bizzy B's Brain records first but so glad I clicked play. I love how Germans manage to add their own twist to the stuff they put out....imo nicely spices occasionally petrified genres. Another good example would be Riot Beats albeit operated more on the jungle front. Damn, was going to post Sonic Subjunkies - Djungelstadt (Remix) as an example but the Youtube video is so dead. And that Spiral Tribe Thanks man, found some new shit to sink into! eh...
  5. Since the first rumors about those new SAW editions arose, I've been a bit confused if SAW I 25 year anniversary luxus edition with bonus tracks etc. and SAW 1.5 are supposed to be the same thing or not. Taking a glimpse at the SC playlist RDJ created for SAW 1.5 I would say they are the same thing. Thinking something like a double album edition where the SAW 1.5 would be the other part of the bundle.
  6. If I got it right CCAI pt 2 was never supposed to be Drukqs 2 but Drukqs was (well, for some parts anyway) CCAI part.1. There's a big difference guys. On a side note Drukqs' klavier/prep-piano/robot stuff & CCAI pt.2 make a nice own entity. Of course completed with Avril out-takes and Pianopkupt1 + bleepstore tracks. dRuQks Prepared uN 1 is the ultimate climax. Superb track.
  7. lol, yes. He could also kick the kids and waifu out of the door. Who needs a family when you have such a warm, understanding and caring fanbase? On a serious note it's quite interesting that Richard wants to have a total control over the store. He could've just left it to someone else to take care of. It's nice though that he's still willing to chat with fans as he did on SC. Not personally so interested about that side but it seems to be important to some people so it's cool. Quite a different approach from the majority of "big" names imho.
  8. I'm confident there will be more, most obviously all the rest of his Rephlex stuff. Otherwise would have fallen little short after all the excitement and activity in the start (eh, remember Rephlex store). I just thought Rich would have continued adding stuff there right away instead of this halt here. Like, start as you mean to go on Or maybe we should be super excited about the fact that everything has been super quiet for some time now. Imminence?
  9. Analords™ - keeps you buying them again and again and again.
  10. There are some interesting bits hidden around the tape, but there are also a big amount of moments which excite me as much as phoning accidentally to a fax number and listening to the random chirping there would do. These do indeed sound more like experimentations added with some finished tracks here and there. Have to admit though that the experimental modular stuff is quite far away from the music that gives me kicks, so not an expert in that field. Still, it's cool to spot some bits which ended up to other afx tracks.
  11. seven hells... it's true, my two favorite tracks off of this were bound by sound (the melody at the end of Quadraverb) this whole time and I never realized it until after reading your post. I love these easter eggs. There were a number of them in the SC dump and we got a few more from the London LP and Fuji tape. In addition to that Quadraverb in Madma you guys spotted, there's some T03 delta t in the ending of T08 dx1+5. Also, hadn't recognized before Fuji tape that serge fenix rendered 2 has the chirping from Buchla 200 QUAD...(/or Buchla Master Edit Rend). Should've paid better attention with syrobonkus trax.
  12. Same here, have had it looping all yesterday, the modular tracks seem much easier to listen to this time round than from syrobonkers. thanks very much to those concerned in bringing it to our ears :) Ditto. Few great ones like Buchla200 Rhythm 2B and @FX-MatrixT9. ModularTXX tracks from the Syrobonkus lot are fine too. Not necessarily my all-time favorite AFX release, but way better than I thought it would be. To my surprise, found myself actually enjoying some of the stranger bits. The lush Tussy tracks though seem little misplaced among all the modular pieces. Then again, if there must be a physical version of beautiful Japanese people, it should be on this.
  13. Yep, Nagradrums and Talkin2u Mix2 are both also on Bleep Store's Rushup Edge
  14. Appreciated! Don't worry guys, will buy if ever ends up on Bleep store.
  15. yeah i know what you mean. and before syro, analord digital, and before that, the tuss, and before that, drukqs. still though, you can't compare come to daddy with universal indicator. they're different things, but both great. the description has it as a "collection" though, so i guess it's officially classified as not an "album" for my purposes though its a great thing in the catalog Just to make sure I don't take words out of context. Aren't Aphex albums always well-thought-out comps of tracks from some particular period? And "post-album world", spot on! That's exactly what SC and Bleepstore are about. I believe I've said this before in some other thread but I find London continuing nicely the Syro-era sound. Syro-Cheetah-London make a great trio and I find them having sound-wise similar stuff. I had already included T08 and T13 to my Syro playlist when they were still SC-only tracks since they did sound (to me at least) so clearly outtakes from Syro. London vinyl gave me many more goodies for the said list. London=Syro outtakes? Dunno. Stylistically could also add there the Houston track. Makes me very interested about how the next Aphex full-length LP will sound. Will be intriguing to see if Rich continues on that path or decides to head to some completely other direction. Whatever there's coming, soon please.
  16. Nah, not really a fan of the modular stuff from SC dump / Syrobonkers so the tape doesn't really get me jizzing. I'm jamming these two from the soundcloud and forgot the rest of the tape: https://soundcloud.com/user675247569/short-forgotten-produk-trk-snippet https://soundcloud.com/user675247569/2-nx-neotek-test-b-11-snippet Can't deny though that the higher quality would be nice. Sum lush tracks
  17. lol, yes. People please, read more, it does good for you
  18. Oh I'd love that, my favorite track from the whole SC I think. To me it sounds in the same vein as Acrid Avid Jam Shred, maybe a little newer. Yep, one of my favorites hands down. Easily in top5.
  19. Anxiously waiting for the Friday for some user18081971/daddy1 activity Why Friday? Did he say something before that I missed? He never released something on his birthday did he? Nah, guess not. It was merely some stupid brain fart by me when I spotted his BD was just a couple of days ahead from gafjunki's post. Dunno then, spending your birthday with your family and loved ones is so 80's, live by the spirit of today and spend it with some faceless internet twats instead. Happy Birthday Richard!

  22. I definitely wouldn't have ripped it if I'd known he'd be selling the digitals later on. I say don't rip and share the tape. We can wait for it to go on the bleepstore. Aah, there's really no point of feeling guilty. There was plenty of new stuff on the official release so either you bought single tracks which weren't on the 12" or the whole release Richard got somewhat same amount of money. Pirates will pirate no matter what. Plus there wasn't any info about that the recording would end up on Aphex store, which didn't even exist back then. I for one thought that it was a vinyl exclusive and was very grateful for your late night work. I'm not touching the moral side since apart from Joyrex we all are guilty for downloading the rip.
  23. Ah, how to answer this... carefully. I don't think I said that the tracks (quality) is "miles away" from the demo; that could be assumed by the fact it was a cassette passed around between WARP and Rephlex heads versus a test pressing made from a master. The tracks on the test pressing are different than the demo; as to which tracks exactly are on the test pressing (and if there are ones that were not on the demo or just omitted for the test pressing) I do not know. There's only a few people that actually own CAT087 (Minecraft Notch is one; GWC is another); more scarce than CAT023! (AFAIK, there are 2-3 copies left in existence; about 5-7 of CAT023, and loads* of CAT034 ABB5). Supposedly no copies of CAT002 still exist; even Richard has said he doesn't have any, and the tracks themselves are on DATs in storage. *less than 50, but no more than - again, guesstimates based on comments from those "in the know" Cheers for the info! My vague "miles away" burb didn't have so much to do with the sound quality per se, but more with the issue about if the real tracks are radically altered version of the pieces on bootleg or totally different songs. Like so many others I've been listening the bootleg for years and I've wondered quite a few times how much they actually differ from the real thing. Nice you brought some light to that.
  24. what is this? my old ipod classic died and only being able to keep 7gb of music on my phone is killing me. yes i realize that sounds insane. It's FiiO XSomething
